Jenna - Thanks for the review. We leave next week for our wedding. I just have two quick questions: (1) how long did your meeting with your WC last? & (2) which photo package did you choose?

Thanks for all the info so soon after your wedding. Congrats on your marriage!

Hi everyone! It's been a couple of weeks since my ceremony at MP but I promise to get my review up soon! Overall, it was a great experience!! I'll detail more later and share the pics, but I do have to pass on one comment...it was with our wedding coordinator, Cristina Suarez. I think she's usually fine, but she LITERALLY interrupted our ceremony before the priest told us to kiss and urged us to walk out so she could talk to us about moving our reception inside. It was very unprofessional and several of my guests commented on how odd it was. I think she was flustered because of the inclement weather, but it was a bit disconcerting. Our guests commented on it, and so I just wanted to pass it along to the other brides on this forum. If Cristina is your wedding coordinator, I might make sure she understands what's going on during your ceremony. The rest of the day was fabulous, I'm sure that it was a completely random fluke, but worth mentioning!

Your Welcome Leigh!

Im about to write more for the review so be looking for it.

My wedding coordinator was Cristina Suarez. Our meeting lasted about an hour and she really went beyond what I expected! I really just let her take the lead and she did a fabulous job.

The picture package we chose was the $520 one not sure. It included I think 62 pictures and then the CD with all the pictures on it.

I know...I leave in 6 days!! Good luck in your final preparations.

A few brides have said the meeting lasted 2-3 hours. Jenna (the bride I asked in the post) said hers just took about an hour. I'm hoping mine just lasts on hour. Ours is at 3 & we have a welcome dinner starting at 6 that night. I guess I'll have to go to the meeting dressed for the dinner just in case mine takes 3 hours.

I don't think I'm going to get her anything. She hasn't been very helpful. Every email reply has taken at least a week even for the simplest question & even in the last week. I'll have some thank you notes with me & if she does great job, I can always write her a note & include some cash. I'm sure that would be the most useful gift.

My mom made my bridesmaid's bouquets, but I already have 3 suitcases packed + a carryon + golf clubs, so I asked her to pack the bouquets. I don't know how she plans to pack them but I know she has more room than I do. I am bringing freeze dried rose petals, & I do have those packed. I'm a little worried about customs, but plenty of other brides have brought them & had no problem so I'm just hoping for a green light at customs.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
