totally agree! thats why i think i may just pay the remainder and have it shipped to see what it looks like on me. i guess i was just bummed at first glance. i was planning on having a local seamstress add some bling, like a belt or some type of embelishment and i am sure she could try and fix any imperfections too. i will send back the couple concerns of the rouching that i see, and see what she replies. i was just worried about time : /

i was hoping to already have the dress in my hands so if i did not like it i had some time to get another, but with the requests for changes its taking longer than expected :/

Ok girls, time to share some dresses and pics. My friend, who is getting married in July 2010, bought an authentic LaSposa sample dress for $1000 (reg $1750) last year, and then she ordered a knockoff San Patrick Palma (a mermaid)from Ebay for $270 including a 2m Mantilla veil with tulle and lace and shipping. Now, she loves the knockoff more than her LaSposa, will wear the knockoff as her main dress.

This is the real San Patrick

They've asked if it's ok to make the dress 2 inches longer for the height of shoes? The shoes I will be wearing have 3.5 inch heels,so should I say yes to making it 2 inches longer or not?

keep us posted! I really like the Vera Wang Diana too, but after my research, most of the chinese folks can only replicate it at 80-90%...because it is a very complexe dress like yours. I got a picture of the dress made by Duosheng, and it looked like 75% alike.
Due to my pickiness, I decided to choose another dress.

I am thinking about having a knock-off made for a short party dress for the evening (we are getting married in Key West and after the reception we are hitting Duval St. for a fun time with our friends, I dont want to ruin my Paloma Blanca in Hogs Breath or Irish Kevins, or any of the other fine establishment there) :)
Thanks, I love the way it came out. I'm not really sure what material they used.. This was what she told me "we will use ,softer and thinner satin"..I guess I'll see what it's like when I receive it.. :)

Hi Janine,

I used Bella Bridal Veils by BellaBridalVeils on Etsy for my veil. I may email her to see if I can get a white one since I think the white may look better than the Ivory one I got, with the dress I had made...

i'm going to be ordering my dress from landybridal. we already spoke on the changes I need made to the dress and it's just gonna cost me an addition $50 for the change. I'm actually thinking about not making that change though.

so i'll ask your opinion...I love the lace up back but this dress is made with buttons. I don't want to pop out of the buttons if i'm moving and eating. but how would it look with the lace up back with the bow on the side?? here's the dress

I already have the dress that i´m planning on wearing, but i´ve seen a picture of a dress on here that i absolutely love, it´s a Reem Acra, from a few years ago, and i think i´ve seen it on one of the knock off sites, but i´ve searched and searched and can´t find it now..

Here is a picture of the dress (hopefully)

thanks! I was not sure if it would be too much going on in the back with the lace up and the bow on the side.

If you can find a picture then you can probably send it to one of the makers. If you email the pic they will probably tell you whether or not they can make it and give you a price.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
