SO true! Just keep reading this forum (daily if you can because otherwise you get WAY behind). I have had SO many questions answered on here. It has been a savior to have this. I have been planning for a few months so if you have any specific questions, I might be able to help.
Good luck with all the planning!

So I didn't even see her until I walked down the aisle. It was ok, but I would have liked to have met her first. I put together our script but she also had a script that we could have used if I prefered. Do you know who your officiant is? If it is Rosa, I have her script and can probably share it with you.
Can you please send me the script... jdhallwedding@hotmail.com

Are all of the officiants women?
I too, put together our own script and I'd like to get it to the officiant a week before we get down there.
When did you know who your officiant would be?
Did you have some type of rehearsal with Ana since you didn't see the officiant until THE moment?

HAHA that is too funny! i didn't even realize it.....Nah not having anything back here, we have about 100 people going, 75 already booked. so that is enough for us! Are you having something back here?? I know a lot of people who that, so it it is very common.

I didn't think the $393 was that bad for 3 nights considering it includes your food and drinks......just because we have a very big drinking crowd so they will drink about $300 dollars worth a day.....so this is a major deal for them!!! A lot of them are bartenders.....so this is a treat to them and the staff is going to love this crowd cause they are major tippers

Also, on my group contract, it said private check-in, and "welcome cocktail". How did that work? I tried to set up the cocktail and was told it wasn't an event. Not a huge deal, but I thought it was a group perk.

Also, what did you past brides think of the officiant? I'm worried about a really strong accent. Also, for my faith, I'm more comfortable with a male officiant - just my image of my wedding day, I guess. Anyone know if there is a male officiant available?

Thanks!

We had a guy marry us there. He was great! There was a definite accent though but it just made getting married in Mexico the real thing. We still kid to each other about how he said "love" he kept pronoucing it "Lub". LOL We will never forget this.

Hi!

We are planning a wedding date of June 4 2011 at the Dreams Riviera Cancun. I've emailed a request about a week ago to the wedding coordinator for availability but have not yet received a response. I'm curious from other brides (or brides to be) whether their experiences with the WCs were positive and if they were reliable with communication. I know the wedding is a whiles away, but I'd like to get the location confirmed.

Thanks!

Jen

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
