Nikki, I'd love to share some humidity from here, but I agree vegas is so dry. My hands and skin gets so dry everytime I go (not real frequent but once every couple of years). Its been mid 90's and super high humidity. I was drenched after sunrise kickboxing this morning (outside by the river at 6am).

Not much wedding planning this week, busy with other stuff: end of residency year cookout, friend from out of town, bunco on monday (11 neighbors at the house for apps/dessert) plus Fathers Day sunday... will worry about wedding next week. I'm feeling okay with the wedding stuff for now.

Heartbeat, congrats on the baby and welcome to the group!!

Ahhh I am jealous of sunrise kickboxing by the river!!! How amazing! :) Yeah my hair and skin turned so dry out here!! UGH! But that humidity is awful (I'm from Nebraska before here) so I feel your pain!

What a fun fun week ahead! :) I think it's good on the sanity (and the fiances) if we all take some small (note: small) breaks from wedding planning. :)

Heartbeat: I second the other posts. Welcome and congratulations!

heartbeat- Congrats on the baby and welcome!

Well as far as planning goes, I ordered the mini jars for our favors that we are going to fill with M&Ms. And I got an email from my WC (a massive email with ton of things to decide on) and one of the things in it was about the DJ. I didn't even think about it, but I have to start picking songs for everything. Pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, cake cutting, slow songs, do not play list, etc. I am horrible at picking songs so I have been reading everything I can here under Music & Entertainment. We have a sound system for the ceremony and cocktail for my ipod that is included in the wedding package, then we are having a DJ for the reception. Has anyone else started this yet?

Welcome aboard!! What whitening product are you using? I'm def going to do that as well, and (gasp) give up coffee the month before. I have 8lbs to go to get to my ideal weight so I'm starting my hardcore diet July 10th. And starting with pedicures every 3 weeks. My feet are tore up from running so they need some major help to get into wedding shape!

Welcome! What at home kit are you using? I want to whiten my teeth too. I need to lose at least 20lbs (I would like 25lbs) by the wedding. I wish I would have been able to get myself to loose the weight a few months ago since my BD session is on 7/11 and it would have been nice to be at a size I feel good in. I also want to tan for the wedding, but I wonâ€t start that until a month before. I am going to get acrylic nails put on about a month or so before and I want to start getting pedicures. I would love to get a facial or two but I donâ€t think I will have the money for that.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
