Oh fun!! When's your Vegas wedding?
We are staying at Le Blanc from Wednesday to Wednesday, then flying to Cancun that Wednesday morning. So, we are kind of treating it like a mini honeymoon/legal wedding. Ryan is planning everything except the actual wedding. We are such foodies, so he is getting us reservations at all these fab restaurants. The wedding will be Friday. We will go out to dinner, have the limo (or pink cadi) pick us up, and take us to the wedding chapel. hahaha Then we will go out afterwards. My brother and his gf are going, and maybe 1 other couple. I am still debating on which "theme" I want to do, but it is going to be HYSTERICAL!!! Dueling Elvis's, Blue Hawaii, Pink Cadillac, etc are all SO funny. I really cannot wait!!!

I haven't had a chance to look at the link yet but I must say your siggy pic is just adorable! Very NO! FI and I love it there...originally wanted to have our wedding there but the place I loved was booked and then figured it would be too hard do a DW in NO...easier at a resort that does them all the time. Plus I wanted to offer guests AI. Ahhh, maybe for our vow renewal one day. Girls got to dream. :)

AHHHHH that resort is FABULOUS! My friend just got married there!

I hope you had soooooo much fun!! And 2 weeks?!?!? I can't even imagine was that feels like...SO awesome!!!!

I think these resorts rent those chairs from an outside company. Maybe they own the chairs for the wedding, but have to order more for the reception? Who knows! How much are they charging you for the chairs? Maybe you can try to talk them down on the price if they will not move them for you. I think I am renting my silver chiavari chairs for $5 per chair. Surely they can help you on the price. $1500 is ridiculous!!!!! fryingpan.gif
I feel the same way about Austin. Wendy, that sound like an amazing AHR. :)

$5 per chair! That's amazing. They've quoted me $12 and they said they cannot budge on the price. I mean, I'm requesting 140 (for the ceremony and reception) you think that they would cut me a break.

I was thinking the same thing. Does anyone know? She and I share the same wedding date so this is a really big bummer for me. I know more so for her though. sad.gif

How freakin' fun! I'm sure you guys will have a great time.

I agree, this feels just as exciting!! Do you have any plans nailed down as of yethuh.gif I am cramming everything in this week! I am hoping this tacky look gets pulled off well if you know what I mean :)

Fantastic!!! How could you NOT be super stoked about that?!QUOTE]

LOL! I'm excited to see what happens on this color change stripper pole!

You're right, that's what I'm focused on, it won't be a classy event, well the room will be but other than that... :)

I'm sorry to hear your baby and FI have been sick! I hope they feel much better very soon.

HAHA! I have such a hard time deciding and I hate being time crunched, I'm back and forth on my theme so much I'm just wasting time!

Google searching! I'm the master :)

Oh I haven't forgotten about you! I think of you everytime I go through all the stuff I brought back which I mostly brought back in case you girls wanted anything. You really are down the street!

smile120.gif omg THAT would be hysterical! All you'd have to get out is "AMANDA!!! BDW!!!" I'd be like "OH!!!" Then give you a big hug hug2.gif I troll that mall all types of crusty though, you guys only know to "prettiest day of my life me" so you may not even recognize me!

I didn't have a birdcage for my cards, I thought about it but also knew that no one would bring any cards or gifts to Mexico. Ooo the chalkboard I may keep, it's so freaking cool I love it!

QUOTE]

Well I am at that mall a lot. Far to much actually. Mostly for TARGET. I basically live there.

Thanks and let me know about the stuff. I'll get to ordering my birdacge and chalk board soon. :)

She sent me a message on FB saying she was banned for soliciting a TA... not sure exactly what that means but she's banned until sometime in July she said. She'll be back!

So fun! We are doing the Blue Hawaii package :)

I've been frantically scouring Etsy, making a VistaPrint postcard invite, trying to decide what to wear, how do to do my hair and get flowers, 12 days!!!

We planned on having 2 couples go with us, then my mom and brother wanted to come so DH invited his parents and sister and brother-in-law and then it expanded and I have 30+ people coming now... how crazy is that?

Hi all:

Boy, it's easy to get behind around here :-) Hope you all had a great weekend. The sun is FINALLY shining for us over here in Vancouver. It has been a miserable rainy spring so it was nice to finally get outside and enjoy June this weekend.

We're coming from all over and different prices for different locations but from Vancouver our price is $1540pp for 7 days (Wed. to Wed), 2 people to a room. We were originally looking at different dates and the price was WAY higher. But of course, we're booking through a Canadian company who arranges the price with AS (not directly with the resort) so not sure if that's any help for you.

Thanks!! Here's hoping it's amazing.

rant.gifWe had a bit of a set-back this weekend. Our baker essentially fired us and now I'm scrambling to find someone. Long story short, it's the outcome I wanted because I never liked this company from the beginning. As soon as I sent them our deposit check I regretted locking in with them. The only reason we kept them is because they already had our money. We're super stoked to be getting our money back and not have to deal with them anymore, but I'm really, really, really pissed at the reason she gave for doing it. She is WRONG and a LIAR and needs to read her own contract. I was so mad it kept me awake most of the night last night, and I'm thinking to myself, "This crazy ***** is not worth losing sleep over so let it go!" Grrrr. voodoo.gif

Yikes about your chairs. That is crazy expensive!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
