That would be great! I definitely agree, not many reviews on here at all but from what I've ready it sounds pretty good. Looking forward to your daughter's review and pics!

YEAH! Another Riu Negril bride, that's great! Have you decided which package you're going with? I'm doing the Free Package and paying for the upgrade to a larger wedding cake and more champagne. We have 40 people booked already and more deciding later this year! I also think we're going to be renting out the Steakhouse for a private dinner reception...just in the midst of pricing this out to see how much everything will be. I'm getting so excited!!!

OMG i am beyond excited!!! I'm so looking forward to seeing/hearing how yours turns out! so far we've reserved our wedding date and time slot and are just currently working with our TA to find the best possible package so we can book!!!

As for the wedding package, i'm doing pretty much the exact same thing as you! The free package then upgrade the cake and champagne if needed. Also want the Steakhouse for supper.

That's amazing that you already have 40 people booked! I can't wait until we actually book and get our save-the-dates out so we can see how many we'll actually get.

It's an awesome feeling to have so much done so far and know that so many of our friends and family are able to join us!

Hi Ladies:

My daughter just got married at the RIU Negril. She is drafting a review so that I can share with all of you along with pictures. Hopefully we should have them up by this weekend. I just wanted to let you guys know that there is no free package at the RIU Negril. The only free Package is at the RIU Tropical Bay. We will share all the details with you on our experience.

Can't wait for the review! I was told by the WC at their main office that it does offer a free package and that was what I signed up for. Not sure if there's difference between this year and next.

HI Deb:

My daughter thought there was a free package but when Dionne sent the paperwork it stated that the only free wedding packages were offered at the RIU. I would recommend that you send Dionne an email regarding this. She will respond in a day or two. We found that on Monday's she would respond quicker than other days. If you have an outside photog they will charge you $200 for the day pass and you can't allow them in your room. My daughter is working on the review as I feel it would be fair for her to give her review as the bride rather than me being the mothe of the bride. The wedding was beautiful and she had a good weather. I loved Negril and can't wait to go back!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
