Oh Kerry! I'm so happy you're pleased! It is hard to tell when it does fit quite right, but from the pictures you posted I think it looks great on you....but in the end it all depends on how you feel in it!

A good bra can do wonders too!

this is quite similar to the one i am hoping to order, so i am so happy to see yours cheesy.gif

is the hoop included in the dress price? or is this extra? i am wanting my less poofy than it is meant to be, so i may forgo ordering a hoop and see how it is when i get it.

thanks for posting!!
No I ordered the hoop from them for extra as I hoped they would know which hoop would be best. I would say to leave it and get the dress then decide and order one from ebay or rent.

My dress is white polyester satin. And that's the only thing I don't like about it. The dress is VERY heavy and I am pretty sure I will feel very hot wearing it in July.
If you want your dress to be flowy, I wouldn't suggest poly satin. This fabric is very stiff. But my gown is not supposed to be flowy, so I am pretty satisfied with the fabric I chose.

Here are the pictures of it on me.

And this is the original dress I showed to gianinarbridal:

Wow, your dress is gorgeous. It looks really pretty on you. I like it better than the original.

Well I've been gone for a few days but I see a few more ladies have gotten in their dresses or at least ordered. Roxymysockz I think your dress came out lovely. I can't wait to see the final product once you take it in and add the oomph ;-)

Pam have you ordered yet? I am excited to see Mimi83's JimHjlem, while reading back in the posts I am on edge. So funny Mimi83 and Mimi73 similar names both went for similar dresses. Mimi73 have you received your dress yet?

I have a question... Where can you rent a hoop?
Not sure but I just ordered one from ebay for $20 (to wear at our AHR next month). I didn't want the extra volume and heat in Jamaica but want the skirt fuller for the reception. It should be arriving any day so I can let you know how the quality is.

no, i haven't ordered yet, janine. i am in the midst of losing a heap of weight, and really don't want to have the dress altered after i order it - so i am waiting until the fall to order it.

i am not a patient person though, and the wait is KILLING me! i am living vicariously through everyone else!

Hello!
I received the one that I ordered off of ebay (not from Gianninar) and will be making a few alterations to the style. The other dress (from Gianninar) I am still waiting for them to send me proof photos of the beading. I imagine it should be soon. I told them I needed it for July.... even though the wedding is really in Nov :) I'll keep you ladies posted. I LOVE seeing everyone dresses so far!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
