yes! i always do better with a workout buddy! I joined a different gym so i could work out with a friend! It sounds silly, but I have also done a weight loss contract before. We promised to work out 20 min a day (anything would count as long as you were moving, like just going for a walk) and if we missed a day, both of us had to do an extra 20 minutes. we did it for a month. it worked!

Ladies, what did we do on the weekend? Did anyone work out?

Sorry, it was a long weekend for me, so I forget that yesterday was Monday. So, on the weekend and last night. Tell us what you did girls.

Tami, did you join the gym?
Okay, so I'm a week late, but I joined the Y after work today. Tomorrow at 1pm I go for my Wellness Assessment / Test and to get back on an exercise program. I'm a little bummed b/c they told me the military price was no initiation fee and $19/month for both of us ... but tonight they said $60/month.

I still signed up though!!!

The pounds are starting to creep back up (well, more than creep) and I hate for all the work I did this past winter to not even be noticeable when Tom gets home. So I figure the way my schedule is ... can fit in 7 workouts before he flies back in ... and if I do enough cardio ... hopefully it will help, at least a little bit!

Plus, I went to the store last night and bought fruit and healthy sandwich stuff (I ually eat ssoo bad .... pasta, cream sauce, etc etc)...

I went yesterday and got my Wellness Assessment. Above average in some areas, below average in others. We've decided my goal is to lose 8 pounds and a 5% reduction in body fat.

We got started with a new workout plan ... and I can hardly move today, I am SSOO sore. I planned on going back today, but the Y is closed for some reason. I figured getting back there again today would help ease the soreness. So, I'll be going tomorrow instead.

OMG ... I can't believe how not working out since March can make me ssoo sore and out of shape again. Onward, though!!! I will be in tip-top shape come April 2008!!!

Help keep me on target, ladies!!!

I know exactly how you feel. I went 5 days a week, and then had to stop for a while to take care of family (I would say 6 weeks total) and when I went back I was shocked at how much my body changed, I could not lift the same weights and I got tired really fast. Its crazy.

Good for you getting back at it again.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
