Hey Ladies, while doing some resort research I came across the Now Riviera Cancun. The resort is about 1 year old. It also seems very reasonable in price. Has anyone heard of this resort or had a wedding here? I am going for a site visit next month so I can let everyone know what I find!

Hi Carly!

I am also considering having my wedding at the NOW. We went there in October and it was very nice. Trip Advisor has mixed reviews but we really enjoyed it. We have stayed at the Dreams Tulum before too and it was comprable to that. The only thing I didn't like about the NOW was that their room service menu wasn't the greatest but that really isn't a big deal. Let me know if you want me to send you some pics of the resort! My email is brownwedding2011@gmail.com

Hi Ladies!

After consideration of many resorts in the Riviera Maya area, I have put a reservation on May 7, 2011 at Now Jade Riviera Cancun. It does get excellent reviews on tripadvisor, expedia, etc. There have been some minor complaints, such as waiting long at restaurants, some say weak drinks, some say not enough nightlife. But, hey, every place is going to have some complaints. The main reason I chose it was because it is a good value for the guests, the place has a modern decor and appears to have been recently updated, and the venues for the wedding ceremony and reception look great. I have been working with Jill from Sand and Sun Vacations, whom I found here, and she has been great. I can't wait to hear what you guys think after your site visits. I think we'll be making one in August.

I just found Now in my research this week and i loved how affordable it seems for all the amenities it seems to have. I am working with Jill too, and we were also looking for a late april/early may 2011 wedding. Keep me updated when you start finding out more about the wedding packages at the Now.

Hi,

I know that the Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun used to be the Paradisus Rivieria Cancun (they bought the hotel on May first) so if you are looking for information about that one you can go over to the Paradisus Thread (although we are all sort of in the dark with the hotel changing over a lot of things are changing). Not sure if this helped, but I thought I'd try.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
