anyone buying a dress to change into?

Recommended Posts

I love my dresses. I have a ceremony dress a more traditional Pronovias and a fun and lighter dress for the reception by Alfred Angelo. I bought BOTH dresses for $450 at preownedweddingdresses.com! Both dresses were brand new and in perfect condition. :)

Here is my reception dress and SHOES....which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. :)

If I don't wear it, I will just sell it afterwards since it's already hemmed but the tags are still on so it's obviously brand new.

If your dress is very heavy and thick, then definitely get something more comfortable. My dress is not poofy or heavy at all (looks more like a red carpet gown than a princess dress) so I didn't have this problem to think of..

Good luck!
Did you have to order the dress from davids bridal or do they have in stock to take home??

The girls who suggested bridesmaid dresses in ivory that is a great idea unfortunately i dont have time to order anything as my wedding is next month.. but thanks for the idea!!

just a quick suggestion...If you are having a lot of young trendy girls at your DW, I'd stay away from BCBG and Cache. All of my girlfriends are wearing bcbg and cache to my DW. They make entirely too many cuteTea length/cocktail length and mini dresses for Destination wedding guests!!! You might end up in the same dress as a guest but in different colors!!

I just bought the following dress on ebay for my legal ceremony and AHR (which will just be a party). If you ladies are interested in a flowy tea length dress I would suggest checking them out. $49.99 + $9.99 S/H

Short Party Dance Cocktail Prom Bridesmaid Dress 301 White S - eBay (item 170478395841 end time Jul-25-10 22:21:24 PDT)

(I hope that link works, if not look for store Golden Studio Fashion Boutique and their "Short Party Dance Cocktail Prom Bridesmaid Dress 301")

If you want a full length gown, think about ordering a knockoff. There is an entire thread on this site of ladies who have ordered knockoff gowns. I got a quote for a Maggie one-shoulder destination gown for $180 including shipping. (I was thinking of this one for my TTD, but it could easily be a reception dress)

Good Luck. Courtney

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
