The Royal in Cancun 2010 Brides

Recommended Posts

My wedding is planned for Nov 27th, 2010! We have been to the resort twice and are going a third time for our site inspection June 12th. I hope a wedding is going on while we're there so I can check it out! :)

I have a question, hopefully someone can help...How are your guests booking their flight/rooms? Through the resort or through a travel agency?

You're in luck! I'm getting married there on June 12 at 6 on the beach. I know there are two other weddings that day also, with the 2nd one being at 4 I believe. But you can take a peak at ours wink.gif We're doing the ceremony at 6 on the beach, cocktail hour by the gazebo, and reception on the beach until 10:30ish.

To answer your question, most of my guests went thru expedia (it's just cheaper since they give the package deal when you book flight and hotel altogether). We went with a travel agent though because we're staying at one hotel for the wedding and another for our honeymoon and i didnt want to have to figure all that out on expedia, so it was just easier thru a TA. once everyone is booked you can send a rooming list to your WC so that you can try and get all of your guests together in one area of the resort if you want. hope that answers your question!

Hey girls I'm back from my Royal Cancun wedding/honeymoon and had such an amazing time! We did not want to leave the week just felt like it flew by. Hopefully y'all get the same treatment we did cause everything was perfect. I'll post my review with some pictures later on today.

Hi,

Im a newbie! Ive just booked my wedding at The Royal Cancun for 6th May 2011. Ive booked the gazebo but now think this may be the wrong choice. If anyone has seen the venue, where is it best to get married - gazebo, beach by gazebo or beach by pelicanos?

Thanks everyone

I personally liked the gazebo at The Royal the best. The Gran Caribe Gazebo is more private but I didn't choose that one because I'm not sure what kind of aisle you walk down (There are a ton of steps to walk down unless you walk through the gate at the Royal. The Royal gazebo is right by the quiet side of the pool and you walk over a cute bridge that's over the pool to get into it. They are all gorgeous locations and you really can't go wrong with any of them. Check Tripadvisor.com and look at the resort photos there to get a better idea of the surroundings! Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
