If we can't talk the rate down I'm afraid we aren't going to be able to get married here and we have already put our deposit down. Thanks!
When is your wedding planned for? The time of year can certainly make a big difference in pricing. The intial rate for our group was $860pp for room only for 7 nights (airfare has to be booked separately) and kids are free, which I thought was fantastic. I think that was introductory pricing since the resort had just opened when we started putting down deposits; I know the rates have gone up since though, and that guests now booking into our group will hopefully get a good price, but it won't be that good! We are using a local TA but she deals with a U.S. based supplier called Travel Impressions.

Hope this helps!

That would depend on your travel date and if you are booking a group or not. We have booked 14+ ppl so far, and our travel dates are 10/1/10 - 10/8/10. With the "book 5 rooms get the 6th free" promo, the cost is less than $2500 per couple, and continues to go down when we reach the next level. That includes airfare. I believe our actual cost will be around $2000 per couple. That is for a garden view room. I highly suggest using a travel agent. My best friend is a TA, so I am fortunate in that regard. She is booking trips for a couple other girls from this site as well. If you would like her info, PM me and I will put you in touch. I have been astonished at the prices some are paying, but I am assuming they are going during peak season and are perhaps flying from more expensive locations. We are flying out of St Louis on a charter flight. But I have some guests flying out of other airports on commercial flights, and their costs were a little higher due to their airfare. Good luck!

My TA quoted me 1050-1175 For 4 nights (airfare and hotel) she said it depends on air prices. And we're flying out of philly.

We're basically just paying the deposit ourselves and the money will be reimbursed to us when the first 10 people book. That way, we're guaranteed that rate.

It's not easy trying to find a beautiful resort that is reasonably priced!!

If anyone has the information that I saw someone else ask about, with the pictures of the centerpieces, bouquets, cakes, etc. Can you please send it to me? If you don't mind? JLengagement@gmail.com

Thank you so much!
Thanks :-) I popped into a TA today and she said 2350 pp withOUT a group rate. So that number will drop she said. Only thing was she could only give me rates up til April 30,2011 b/c May's rates weren't available yet. Sooo looks like I'm going to have to wait another couple of weeks before I get some accurate rates. :-s

When are you going and how many are in your group? I am working with a TA and the rate she got for just the hotel was more than $1175 for 4 nights. She is going to start negotiating the rate with the resort but I thought it might help if I got specifics from brides. Thanks!!

Our wedding is June 16th 2011. The group rate we got was outrageous! Our TA said she is going to start negotiating the rate with the resort. I thought it would help to get specifics from other brides to move the process along. Fingers crossed it goes down. Thanks so much for the info!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
