My FI & I will both be 33 by the time we get married and even though our group ranges from the 20-somethings st8 thru to 60+, they all like to have a good time. Hopefully they aren't too anal with the rowdies on the actual day b/c my group is liable to get blacklisted if thats the case :-s lol

Also, for those of you using an outside photographer but have the package that includes the resort photographer, make sure to schedule a separate session during your visit. Here are some photos that they took the day after the wedding.

I'll try to post a review soon. Basically everything was beautiful.

I feel the same way!!! Ours is mostly twentysomethings with a group of our parents friends in their 50's and they like to have just as good of a time! Our reception is going to be in one of the restaurants so hopefully we won't get too many complaints.

We chose to do a layover because of the charter dates. A lot of our guests are staying Wed-Mon on a charter flight and payed about $1100 per person for a standard gardenview room. This was through a TA. The price has definitely gone up. I've heard the prices are more expensive if you book through the resort though.

Hey! I used apple and it has been wonderful. The travel agent I use is through Apple vacations and we were able to get pretty good deals. Our wedding is June 19 and our guests will be staying for 7, 5 or 4 nights. The rate is $155 a night per person in the deluxe room. The good thing about Apple was they let us put down a deposit of only $50 a person and then we had to pay in full 60 days prior. This helped a lot of people! We did not use their charter plane, everyone got their own airfare because it was cheaper that way. I also would recommend Apple because they will give you the extra promotions that some other TAs will not. We ended up getting a total of 12 free nights (2 people per night) when it was all said and done. My fiance and I will not be paying for our room and we were able to split up the other free rooms to our bridal party.

Did you call Apple directly? If would recommend going on their website and searching for a travel agent in your area.

This can happen anywhere. Even in the states most banquet halls and resorts can have multiple weddings a day. When it comes down to it you most likely won't even notice any other wedding that day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
