I am going to Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay, Jamaica! We leave tomorrow. I'm procrastinating my packing in favor of some last minute BDWing. I also bought TWO bikinis (not tankinis!).

I'm up less than half a pound this week. But, to be fair, I didn't go to the gym once and I wasn't very careful with what I ate. I expect to gain some over the next week, but I'm not going to stress over it. I've just decided to eat what I want to, but to be mindful of when I'm actually hungry and to try to make sure I get enough servings of fruits and veggies. My biggest problem is that some times I eat when I'm not hungry if the food is really good. The daily drinking is going to hurt me some too, but the de-stressing is going to totally help me when I return.

My BD shoot went pretty well. There were a few poses that weren't as flattering and I didn't realize how much I needed to tone up my tushie, but overall I am pleased with the weight I ended up at for the shoot.

All of you have a great week next week, and I will see you again for the weigh in the week after that. And congrats to all you running girls. Way to run those crazy 5k,10k, half-marathon, or full marathons!

I was definitely up this week, but I blame it all on a trip to Scottsdale for a wedding:-). The company I work for is participating in a program called Shape up the Nation that begins on Monday so I will get on track after the weekend. Between this forum and my co-workers hopefully I can stay on track. It is just so hard when there are so many temptations sitting around the store.

So I didn't lose much this week, .8 lbs. In fact, I've only lost 2.4 lbs to date. However, I have broken through a plateau that I haven't broken in over a year. I still have 11 lbs to go before I reach my goal weight but this gives me renewed confidence I can get there and maintain it for my wedding in October. Even Fi commented this morning that I looked good and said he can tell that I've lost weight. Woo hoo.

Sorry for the delay this week, I'll have the results up tomorrow!

I had a lovely weekend filled with delicious food... chocolate, strawberries, and red wine... but I was back on track today and hopefully I'll make up for it by the end of the week.

I thought that the author did a great job explaining why the scale sometimes stops moving for us... She puts a very positive and encouraging spin on weight loss plateaus!

Hey Ladies,

I was up last friday and this weekend was a total drink fest for my bachelorette! I'm happy to say I'm back down a bit though and ready to get all OCD on what I'm doing and eating this week.

I leave for my wedding in exactly 12 days!!! YES 12! I'm excited and freaking out at the same time! My goal is to really push myself this week and lose another 5 pounds before we leave. I think I can do it... But on top of it all comes the stress of organizing everythign and getting ourselves ready too.

Wish me luck ladies!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
