DEH,

Love the pictures!!!

I saw the arch up that day... and I said 'I didn't get that' did you pay extra for it... or you just ask for it? Why didn't I think of that!!!

You got a lot of great pictures... totally jealous of some lol!!! Who was your photographer?

Ohhh you bought your photographer down with you!! Smart!!! After we got married we were walking on the beach (day after) and i said it would have been a lot better if I would have brought one with me, they would have taken pics of everyhing including the dinner and beach party!! Ah well!!!

I love the brand of dresses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never heard of the brand while dress shopping. At one of the bridal boutiques, the lady suggested a dress and I loved it. Now, at least in the US bridal magazines, I have seen some advertisements for Mori Lee.

I'll put up pics as soon as we get back. Only 13 more days....smile159.gif

I never heard of it before either until I found one, I had a hard time finding a store that carried my dress (I never did) I found a store who was willing to order it but as bought not to try on..so I had to be sure it was the dress (and it was!!!)

OMG 13 days, it's going by fast!!! How long are you staying in Punta Cana for? 1 or 2 weeks? or 10 days? lol

Whenever I have an upcoming event, big or small, I have trouble sleeping the night before.

Did any of the April brides have trouble sleeping the night before??

I'm scared I'll look and feel tired the next day. Maybe a few drinks will put me to sleep the night before...LOL

Yeah, I was really lucky with a photographer. She was an old friend from High School, so it was extra special. We exchanged her services with the cost of her trip which was terrific since she wouldn't have been able to make it otherwise. She took photos from the whole week. in total, I have over 1000!! But it's a little overwhelming!

We didn't pay extra or ask for the arch...it was just there...but it certainly was a nice touch.

Rgonzalez, i just saw your wedding date! It's coming up! I'm so excited for you. You will really have a great time. Just relax and let it all happen is my best piece of advice. The night before the wedding, my husband and I stayed together because I knew I wouldn't sleep well if we didn't. We went to our room early that night to just relax and have some alone time - it was hard with all the guests. I found that very soothing and we slept really well. Then in the morning I went to the gym for a run which always calms me down. But concealer always does wonders!

the night before?! Try 2 months I didn't sleep more then 8 hours of crappy sleep.. I know 8 hours seems a lot but with Crohn's disease you need a lot of sleep. So I looked like crap the first week we were there (Including the wedding.. I found the pics of us girls getting ready I looked like crap, tired) plus the entire 3 days we were there I could hardly eat. I didn't even eat on the wedding day (AT ALL!!! probably why I got so drunk lol)

DH and I didn't spend the night before the wedding together. All though we got back to our room at 11:30pm and he had to get all of his stuff ready, we only parted ways around 1am. I slept alone in my room but I called him first thing in the morning at his sister's room. Funny cause I didn't sleep long enough some stupid ppl kept calling me from 9am!!!!

so yah I was tired and cranky, so I called FI to talk it out, but he said we wouldn't allowed talking (my rules) well I got angry LOL.. so I hung up on him, he called me back 4times, finally his 5th time he sounded so desprate to talk, I let him say what he needed, an he talked me into a better mood. The rest of the day was relaxing and quiet, and rainy lol!

I agree lots and lots of consealer!! lol They say a bride should get lots of sleep the night before her wedding, YAH RIGHT who can do that the night before they get married!!!

I was soo excited for the trip that I didn't sleep for a week, so I was out like a light the night before the wedding. Mike and I stayed in the same room the night before, and hung out right until 11am the morning of the wedding when I had to go to the spa.....Speaking of which, I paid alot more then Tracy did on the SAME day!!! I paid $122 US!! urgghh...But seriously worth every penny! It was beautiful :)

I seen the arch at the gazebo the day before our weddings and wanted it, but then I didn't see it there the rest of the week. I didn't even get the pink ties around the pillars on the gazebo sad.gif

Woah! lots of posts -- great info!! I can't believe oyu only have 13 days! You are so lucky! I'm counting down -- 45 for me! Ah...I know it will go fast, but not fast enough! We went to the states last night and I bought an amazing honeymoon dress -- it's soo cute. Also picked my FI up some white linen pants, we will look very honeymoon-ie!

What are the other options for dinner? Chicken/pasta and beef medalions? Are there any other options -- Tracy, I think it was you who was thinking about the french onion soup, did you end up getting it?

I am pretty well ready to go, I've been doing iron on rhinestones for bathing suit bottoms/tank tops, and my dress is now 100% finished...Our mugs/bags for favors are in (I'm drinking coffee from one right now lol).

I am debating moving the ceremony up from 5:00 to 5:30ish, Carolina said that's fine - but subject to change --- did any of your times change? I'm not too worried about it, but I'd like it a little later so we can go straight to dinner.

FI is at a conference at a hospital in Toronto and I decided to come, but I forgot about the time I'd be sitting around in between. I'm in a cafe dying for more coffee lol.

WHat's a honeymoon dress??!?! Lingerer?

The other choice was rib eye steak, I am sure there was 1 more choice but I can't remember, so sorry!!!
For the starters there was salad ceaser, onion soup, and some pasta thing. I choice the salad for everyone but since I'm un able to eat salad hissyfit.gif Carolina made an exception for me and gave me onion soup (best soup I've ever had, also the only thing I ate that entire day!!) I should have seen if I coud have gotten 2 soups since my dad doesn't eat salad.. I feel bad about that!! sad.gif

Ohhhh lets see pics of your favor's and your dress!!!!!! post girl post!!!!!
Excited to see it!!

Carolina had given me 2:30 even tho i wanted more of an evening ceremony. SHe said she gave me the time the judge is free. SO I went with it and got use to the time. But when i got there she wasn't able to confirm 2:30... she even called the judge in front of us, she said it might be either 2:30 or 6. Then she ask me which I had prefer, I said 6 and that she'd let me know Monday morning. I got a call and it was at 6pm!! Perfect since it rained at 2:30 anyway. But we lost light quick for the after shots and didn't get a lot of photo's I wanted because of it! Plus our group shot is at th restaurant not on the beach because we lost light to fast if you have a choice I say go for the 5:30pm.
Are you having the legal ceremony or the symbolic ceremony?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
