We haven't sent the documents back yet or the deposit- still making sure every thing on the contract is correct- Ill probably send the save the dates next month- I decided to send EMAIL Save the Dates since everyone but my Grandmother has an email. It's through The Knot.com- We have a wedding website that matches the Save the Dates. Its going to save us about 350.00!!

If you don't mind my asking, what age are you guys? We are 32 and most of the people going are around our age or even younger. They're a pretty roudy and fun group!

1. white linen shirts w/ tan colored slacks
2. white cotton button up shirts w/ tan colored slacks
I'm not a fan of linen on linen, but perhaps you can sway me in one way or the other. My mind is foggy and I feel lost. Not sure what's the best look.

I want to book an excursion, which vendor are some of you ladies using? My budget is about $1k and we have 40 guests coming.

I know read sometime back of a vendor that sells cheap chair sashes and table top covers. Do any of you have this vendor handy that you can supply me with?

OOHH and for those of you who hav wed there already, how many songs would you say I need for the ceremony? I suppose it would be nice to have music playing while the guests wait, right?

Help, help, help....thanks girls, xoxo.
Hey girl! Our groomsmen are wearing white cotton button down shirts and khaki pants - we found lightweight ones at JCrew that weren't overly expensive. We looked at linen shirts but I'm not a fan of the wrinkly mess they'll probably look like because those boys will not iron...and their cost.

Congrats! You're sooooo close!!!

Hey ladies! I want my groomsmen (and groom) to wear white button down shirts and khaki linen pants. I tried to order the khaki linen pants online (from weddingtropics.com and they are temporarily out of stock for like 2 months. The only other place I know (which I cannot remember right now - they are not as great)... any help? JCREW maybe??

thanks!!

That is a great idea for the Save the Dates! We are probably going to send ours out around the same time. We sent in our deposit and are just waiting for our contract.

I'm 25 and my Fiance is 28...It should be an interesting week for the resort considering our group is pretty fun/rowdy too! :)

Hey ladies.... it took me forever to get through the posts from the past two days.... very active :) I am bringing my flutes with me on the plane. My sisters bought me the Swarovski crystal flutes and they CANNOT get broken. :)

I did not read the rules on the website about the flutes and went ahead and submitted to receive them, however, you need to wait until after your wedding to do this. It seems a bit backwards to me. You are supposed to use the flutes at the wedding but they don't give them to you until afterwards... hmmmhuh.gif I am still going to get the free set and maybe just give them to one of my friends who are getting married, the are free, so might as well take them :)

I forgot about my music..... I have a list of songs that I will have played while my guests are being seated (Here Comes the Sun, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Better Together and a few more...). The groomsmen and my fiance will all walk down the aisle and take their places to Zac Brown Bands "Toes". We also have the quote from this song on our programs: "I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand, life is good today". It is very fitting for our personalities. My bridesmaids will walk in to the theme from Forrest Gump. It is absolutely beautiful and one of my favorite compositions ever! It is the song in the movie when the feather is falling :). I will then walk into an instrumental version of "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis. I found a piano version on iTunes and I love it. I am not decided on the recessional song yet, we will probably stick with Signed, Sealed, Delivered. For the sand ceremony we are going to do a Dave Matthews song. We are leaning towards You and Me, but are not 100% certain.

I am 29 and my fiance is 30... most of our guest (there is about 45 right now) are around our age 25-32.... with the exception of our parents and brother and sister... and we, too are a pretty rowdy group.... after reading about the complaints that some who have already gotten married got... I am already preparing myself that we will get some as well!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
