Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Oh I guess I did not realize the inside would have ppl in it. Duh. Do they see you through the glass? I bet they change the policy back --- I had no problem getting them to honor Blue Terrace with 38 guests. So really I should be thanking Wendy and Suzanne for fighting the battle. Well done ladies!!

That is SUCH a relief!! Not that I'm thinking of anything other than beautiful blue skies, of course wink.gif Is it private? I really hate the idea of looky-loos staring at the ceremony. The whole point of a DW for me was not having a bunch of people I didn't know very well gawking at me and making me break out in hives, so it kind of defeats the purpose if it's not private!

Oh, and I'm so excited for your review!!!!

Yes its private - its like an open air hallway with white marble floor. I have seen gorgeous pix online of it. I think in Google photos....

I made 2 CDs for ceremony songs. 1 for rain and 1 for shine. The rain one, we walk down after the ceremony to an acoustic version of Rhianna's "Umbrella" song. At least then I wont be totally devestated!

Here is one pic I found:

It's sort of private - it's off the main lobby, but they are really good about making the "non-invited guests" keep their distance. They had people, including the security guard, in the area keeping people from walking into the general wedding area and I also like to think that for the most part, people are respectful. Some little kid ran by right before one of my sisters started walking and Mayra grapped him quickly, so it's no big deal. You'll have people watching, but they are far enough away that it was not an issue for us.

My ILs travelled back to the airport in a van with people that went to a wedding at another resort down there - not only were there 3 weddings at the same time, but one was right near a pool bar - that was still open!

Oooh thanks for the picture! That is really beautiful...I didn't realize it would be "open air"...that makes it so much better IMHO.

And I'm planning on having a few "relaxing" cocktails before I trample on down the aisle, so hopefully I won't care if people are watching wink.gif

And I love your idea of the "Umbrella" song if it's raining...soo clever, and beautiful! But of course you won't need to use it because it will be beautiful sunny blue skies cheesy.gif

Me too. We looked at another resort when we went down for the site visit and one of the ceremony options was right near where people were playing volleyball on the beach. The WC told us that they would stop the game during the wedding, etc., but DH looked at me and said "Yea, but how far in advance and if people are drinking all day and playing and they are forced to stop, who knows if they'll be cool or jerks about it."

If you look at an older blog post of my photographer's blog (you may have to go to her old blog) she has a picture of the guy in a speedo who just rolled on up and was basically under the arch with the bride and groom - more than once since she physically moved him the first time - I can assure THAT will not happen at AB!

LOL, funny speedo story!

Yes, I second that the resort is really good about making people keep their distance. Even though our ceremony was not on the beach itself, since we were right at one of the main beach entrances, they cleared out the entire area surrounding us, beach beds and all. We did, however, have tons of people watch our ceremony. They were at the two neighboring pools. Everyone was quiet and respectful and not a soul came near us, but there were definitely people in the wings.

As for the lobby location, same thing. It really is quite pretty! The wedding the night before mine was there and it was a beautiful ceremony. The acoustics are really good b/c of the marble floors. But again, people are allowed to pass through the back of the lobby while it's going on, and during this wedding a van of people arriving pulled up. Everyone was very respectful and quiet and they pulled everyone off to the side to wait until the ceremony was finished.

Once I saw the inside location and how beautiful it was, I would have been fine having my ceremony there had the rain not held off for our ceremony. My only issue with the rain was for our pictures after the ceremony. We paid all this money to bring a photog down and then we would have had limited locations to shoot. Fortunately, it all worked out!

OMG horrifying as to what can happen but wow W &S, sounds like they really clear the area for you. And the fact that we are all at very nice resorts, I guess it follows that the clientelle are respectful of your wedding.

A colleague got married in Vegas last week and she was watching her wedding video and she could hear some drunk guy yelling out during their vows "Happy F***ing Wedding Mother F***kers!" from his balcony!!! She said her guests heard it during the ceremony but they didn't until they watched the video! This girl is cool so she didn't care too much, but how disrespectful is that??!!!

Haven't gotten married yet (obviously) but that is also what I am doing. We liked the pick & choose but Tiffany said that we could only give guests two options. I have a lot of foodies and a lot of picky eaters so 2 options wasn't enough to make sure everyone was taken care of....so yes, I am doing the Italian Family Style Dinner. Plus it is less expensive and seems like a lot of food. We are also doing a cocktail hour so we'll do our more "fancy" food then

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
