Hope I'm doing this response right! This is my first post on here. We are doing our legal ceremony in the states before we do the larger wedding and symbolic ceremony at DRC. Thought it would be easier than to legally get married in Mexico.

We're doing gold chairs for the ceremony and the reception (the chaivari chairs) and then we're going to have orange table cloths and pink napkins. Our centerpeices are simple, just dark pink roses and then little gold votives...which I'm still on the hunt for so if any of you ladies find some let me know!
The cake table and escort card table will be pink tablecloths. That's my vision at least

Just wanted to thank all of you for all the wonderful information. It is a bit stressful waiting for Ana to respond to emails and a lot of my questions have been answered by all of the posts! I've tried to read through as much of the posts as I can so if I'm repeating questions, I appologize. Just wondering if anyone has used Juan Navarro, the hotels photographer? I think I'll choose him since his pics looked pretty good on his website. Also, does anyone know if we can mix and match the sit down dinner menu? We are having the Gold menu which has 3 options but I'd like to pick and choose between the 3 if we can. Thanks!

I have no bridal party and it's just me and my dad walking in...should we start the song and wait a little while to walk in so it plays a bit or just take a snippet of it and play it and walk in? I'm so confussed on this issue!
Also, are any of you doing a song during the ceremony like for your sand ceremony or something? Thanks for all your help!
I'm struggling with this too - I wanted something beachy, romantic and upbeat...so I was playing around on itunes and I found Tyrone Wells - Seabreeze and I really really love the way it sounds! And then I found instrumental versions of some other songs by matt nathanson I liked.
I don't know what to walk back down the aisle to though - we want something upbeat and fun...

I heard that if you rent the sound system the technician would just fade out the music once you reached the end of the aisle . Also if you're doing the sand ceremony it might be nice to have something playing then as well.

My bridal party walked down the aisle to Israel's "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", I walked down to Canon in D played by acoustic guitar (found it on itunes and it sounds nice and beachy!). Our recessional song was UB40's "Can't Help Falling In Love". We didn't have a sand ceremony. Oh and I made a playlist of songs for the technician to play while the guests were being seated. I can post that too if you want...
The technician who is working the sound system played our songs perfectly (I didn't give them any instruction). If you are getting married on the beach, it isn't a super short walk to the aisle so a good amount of the song plays before you get to the aisle. I'm not sure how it goes with the gazebo. He also faded the songs so that it transitioned nicely.

i had my girls walk down the isle to adam sandlers funny song (we are a funny & casual couple)
then i walked to the new song by miley cirus, 'look at you' it was amazing & beautiful, then after the ceremony black eyed peas, "tonights gonna be a good night"

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
