On a seperate note we booked with Thomson as they offered us the best group discount and FI best mates gf works in our local shop. When they couldnt match some TC prices she said to us; i shouldnt tell you this but all the UK high street travel agents have the same system so we can see how much TC are charging and first choice are part of Thomson; so whoever you go to they can see exactly how many rooms their competitors have and for how much.

I have read horror stories with all TA from the UK on other forums - i really think its just 'luck of the draw'!

Also does anyone know how long it roughly takes for the blood results to come back after you have had the tests?

At the Gran Caribe they do your blood tests at 8am the morning after you arrive (because you're not allowed to drink alcohol before hand) and then the results are back the next day.

Any more questions about the Gran Caribe let me know because I've been emailing them back and forth for about 1 month with a ton of questions.

I am totally baffled, today i went into first choice to ask some questions regarding wedding packages as i have seen a specific wedding package that i would like on the hotels website so wanted to know if the TA offer it and for how much it would be.

The TA replied that we would have to book the basic wedding package with them which would be £795 and then add everything on individually!!! now what the wedding package i want offers would cost totally more with the TA booking everything seperatly than booking the package direct with the hotel, i dont know if i would be able to book the holiday with the TA and book the wedding direct with the hotel would this cause problemshuh.gif??

I am totally lost
Hi

I have replied to your PM but just to say you can book with the hotel direct and then book your holiday through the TA, but read my PM as to what First Choice said about doing it this way.

We booked with First Choice as the hotel seemed to be exclusive to them I think. We got engaged at the sister hotel El Dorado Seaside Suites last year and knew we wanted to get married there but El Dorado Royale has a Chapel which we fell in love with so we chose there. I can't tell you how excited I am!!! The whole day at work I was in a dream just kept imagining what it's going to be like wooohoooo!!! It feels so real now it's booked!!!! I am so glad i found this website we are all so excited planning our dream day! I am addicted already and just found the website last night hehe. It's fantastic!! 15 months to go woop woop! I am going to enjoy every minute of it, it's the most amazing feeling.xx

It was slightly different for us, I contacted the hotel and booked the wedding in advance of the trip as I REALLY wanted a confirmed date. So when we booked the hotel etc with carribean warehouse their wedding coordinator contacted us and said she could help with all the legal stuff/and contacting the WC on our behalf but I already had communication going so took her info but havent put any ?'s through her yet.

Do you know who you spoke to there? We've been dealing with someone called Chris and he was really helpful x

Lynsey - welcome, one of my friends has been to that hotel and lovedddd it.. shame its adults only cuz its beautiful!! x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
