ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Ahhh...this online check-in is killing me! What is going on?

I am totally bummed about the rain also! I can't believe that it is going to be so crappy during that whole time! I just hope they are wrong and the storm shifts. Maybe if we all wish really hard it will work!

I'm really disppointed about the rain chances for this weekend (and the entire week we're there!) I'm praying mother nature holds out for us brides this weekend! I'm going to be really sad if I go all the way down there to have a beach wedding and everything has be be moved indoors. Especially the ceremony! smile27.gif

beachbum - I'm right there with ya....I'm extremely disapptointed to be plannign for a year now and now rain to ruin it all?

dianep - we are bringing our laptop which has a webcam built in and we are going to stream the wedding live on Livestream - Broadcast LIVE streaming video. There are little commercials during the wedding, but you don't miss any of it, it just pauses the recording plays a 30 sec. commercial and then carries on with the recording. That part is annoying, but I figure it's better than nothing for those who can't be there and want to see it!

we're all keeping our fingers crossed for good weather. good news is that the rain usually passes through quite quickly, so let's hope for at least good timing, even if it does end up raining on our days!

thanks so much for that link. i'm planning on bringing my laptop, which has a camera. it's a work computer, and i think the camera might be disabled, but i'll check into my options. thank you!

Also 2 of my bridesmaids ended up with the WORST hair styles ever, they looked like people from star trek, so hilarious, luckily my brother's GF is a hairdresser, she did my hair and fixed theirs. But 3 of my BM's had great hair. So make sure you bring lots of pics to be clear and if you have anyone that speaks spanish to translate that would definitely help!
Thanks for letting us know about everything! So glad you still had a wonderful time!

Thanks!
You can upgrade your room if there is an upgrade available. You get to pick your room and put in special requests...that is if it ever works!

I tried to call the resort to see if they are having system problems with the check-in, but they don't seem to understand what I mean. any luck with anyone else?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
