It is pretty pricey but I got a deal for 800 for 3 nights for my guests ( not including airfare ) which ended up being only about 200 more than the other places we were looking. The fact that they do only one wedding a day is what really made it worth it. I didnt want to be one of the 5 weddings that day.

What package are you doing ? It sooo hard to decide !
Wow!!! That's great!!! Is that per person or per couple? As of now, I have committed to the "free" package. I really like the other packages, BUT there are several things I want to change about them. So, I am thinking I may just do the free one and then add everything I want. For example, my colors are pink, gray, and silver. So although I like everything in the biggest package, I do not want gold chairs. So, we will see!! Who is your coordinator? I am getting impatient because I am ready to talk to my onsite girl!!! haha I can't believe I get married in less than 5 months.friday.gif

yes i did!!

I called last week to speak to someone to answer questions that I compiled from reading the website. I had 4 pages of questions, lol. The wedding information on the website changes all the time so I wanted to make sure I had accurate information.

I really liked the answers I got so I went back to the website as I was instructed and filled out the request for a date. Now I'm waiting to hear back as to whether or not the dates I picked are available. I decided not to book the actual trip yet because I was unsure if they would have my date available. I want to have the ceremony on a saturday to make it easier for people to be able to come. This way people would only have to travel Friday through Sunday if they didn't want to commit to a week or so of being there.

I should hear back today. If not i'm going to call tomorrow. I'm really excited either way!! Cancelling my at home wedding and going destination has been the best decision ever!!

Also I'm glad there is another bride getting married there so I can get the scoops on everything!!

I finally got my contract last Friday and it had a few things wrong in it. My FIâ€s name was spelled wrong, they had the wrong dates/year listed for the deposit and final payment and they had the incorrect number of maximum guests for the package I chose. I had to e-mail several times before the contract was corrected. I stressed about it all Friday until it was correct. Did you have the same problem or no? I have been dealing with Yesenia.
I was also told they can perform up to three weddings a day.

I didn't have that problem, BUT after planning a destination wedding for almost 9 months now, this doesn't surprise me. I think they are just on "Mexico time." JUst try not to sweat it. I have dealt with Melissa and she has been WONDERFUL!!!!! Now I am dealing with Esperanza (on-side coordinator). She has been so helpful and accommodating, but she "forgets" to email me sometimes and stuff like that. It drove my absolutely crazy in the beginning, but I have just gotten over it. Everyone says you end up making all the final decisions once you get down there. Don't sweat the small stuff and only worry about what you can control...because it does get very frustrating. BUTm it will all be worth it...you will have a blast with you friends and family all weekend, won't be "meeting" people at your wedding for the first time, and will have such a unique story and fabulous pictures to show for it. Hang it there!! Let me know how I can help!

Oh, I am not sure about the 3 weddings. It is in my contract that they only do 1. They sometimes do two, but it has to be before 1 pm. I know they do 3 weddings per weekend though...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
