What is the maximum number of people they allow for reservations for a wedding? Sorry so many questions. Any information any one has would be great. I was originally trying to do a private dinner reception as well, but this seems to add a lot of extra cost. We are expecting about 30 people for the wedding. Thanks! feedback.gif
I'm going to be doing the same thing. You can have the dinner at one of the restaurants and they reserve a section for your party for up to 60 people. They decorate the tables how you want and everything. It's a set menu though, so you choose the courses ahead of time. I'm going to the Steakhouse restaurant for mine.

We are using him for our February wedding and we also paid the 50% deposit. We're not sure how we want to pay for everything else though.

If you're using an outside photographer it's $300 and if you're bringing an outside Dj for example, it's $90 per person. Not sure what other fees there are, but I think these are the main ones.

Does anyone know if you need to bring an electrical converter (I think that is what it is called) for your blow dryer and flat iron?? I want to give my guests a heads up if so, but hadn't thought about it till now.

Also, I have been looking at the weather. It looks like rain everyday for the next 10 days! Does anyone know if it rains alot in the DR? I am really concerned all of the sudden, my wedding is in less then 3 weeks. Thanks!

the electrical outlets are the same, so you won't need to worry about bringing a converter!

i think it might be getting into the "rainy season" in the DR, but i don't think it generally rains a lot. from what i have heard, it can rain almost everyday, but just for 15 minutes and then it clears up.

good luck!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
