Ugh! Got home from my 2nd job about 1/2 hour ago ... to find a blackout in the area. It is ssoo hot in this house I want to DIE. And, my computer is running on battery fumes now ... but I had to log on (thank goodness for Verizon Wireless Broadband!). lol...

I hope the power comes back on soon or I will melt.

Guess I shoulda stayed at work and had a beer...friday.gif

I am sorry you are melting... Hope the electricity comes back very soon.
My sister is in Greer by the airport, wonder if they were affected.
hehe ... the joys of my FI owning a bar! :-)

I doubt your sister is. I'm downtown and everything was fine untl my street and past it ... so it must be something isolated. probably an accident that took down a portion of the grid. Still ... ugh...

Are you from the area or did your sis move here? I've been here since 1999.

LOL ... My East Coast girls! Yes, you ladies know humidity in DC and NJ!! I'm dealing so far ... I just keep thinking that my FI is still in Iraq in 115+ heat, so I guess to him what I'm dealing with IS like having A/C. lol...grouphug.gif

Are you from that area?

I think Jessica is onto something - sitting in cold water... but of course you couldn't read the forum as well :)
zzaapp ... electrocuted from havingmy computer in my lap in the cold bath water. lol

I'm from the DC area but moved down here for work nack in '99 and LOVE it. My FI moved here from Jersey for college (Furman) and stayed ever since also. We LOVE Greenville ... and nw owning an oyster bar means we probably won't be leaving anytime soon.

Definitely look me up! Would love to meet up with some BDW here in what we like to call G-Vegas.friday.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
