Hello All:

I am sitting here trying to figure out a simple but nice script for the minister to say at our wedding in Mexico. My fiance and I are not having a religious ceremony and we want the words to go along with that.

I would like to know where you girls found your scripts, or did you write them on your own?

In regards to wedding scripts, does anyone know what the catholic wedding script is like? We are having a catholic ceremony in Moon palace and was told it would be a full catholic mass. I am still waiting to hear back from the wedding coordinator regarding the script and if we get to choose readings, etc.

Also there are several mexican catholic wedding traditions that I am not certain if they use or not.

Has anyone had a catholic wedding at Moon Palace or anywhere else that could shed some light on this?

alison15 - your priest should allow you to choose your readings and traditions. are you meeting w/ him prior to the wedding? Also, I'm curious why you were "told" you'd be having a full mass?? I believe a bride and groom could choose to have a full mass or just a ceremony w/ out the mass. I dont think your coordinator should have any say - you should see about talking to the priest directly. Frankly, I dont think the coordinator should have any involvement w/ matters regarding the actual wedding ceremony.

The priest is not my own priest but a Mexican priest and we will meet with him only a couple of days before the wedding. I was told I would be having a full mass because I asked the wedding coordinator for this before booking the wedding. However, Catholic Mexican weddings and wedding traditions are a bit different than my own traditions which is why I wanted a copy of the ceremony prior to getting down there.

One of my favorite readings is from Kahlil Gibran's the Prophet. You can google the whole thing online.

Here is a link to the whole reading:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
