i was the first in my family, and trust me, it is NOT fun! not only are you going through all the stuff of your own, but also having to deal with the feelings of disappointing your family as well!

Hehe, I was just kidding...It is a lot of work. Men should change their names too! Why is it always women that have to change?

They can do what Jay Mohr did. He included Nikki Cox in his name!! I told FI that he could do that too and he was like "Jay is GAY!" Men!

I come from an extremly old fashioned family so I can only imagine! It was bad enough hearing everyone's reactions to me going off to Mexico to get married and not getting married in our church by our pastor. Everyone is ok with it now but at the beginning it was not so fun.

i can sure understand that! my mom WAS a pastor at the church i grew up in! it's a christian denomination that doesn't agree with dancing. so i offended some people at the church because i DID have a dance. and they thought my bridesmaids' dresses were too sexy!

this time around, i don't have to deal with what other people think - i am definitely old enough to make my own decisions (plus, i'm paying for all of them!) so i get to do it our way. i love it.

Ok, so I'm officially having a freakout. I've been calm, cool and collected up until this point but it's finally hit me that I leave in a week and a half and I still have lots to do! On top of the wedding stuff, my boss just hit me with a list of the stuff she'd like me to have done before I leave and it's rediculously overwhelming.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Ok, deep breath. Thanks for the vent. :)

i feel your pain, as i am totally in the same boat! a week and a half left of work and my to-do list before PTO, which started out as doable has increased by about 50% and is now looking pretty questionable. as IF we wanted to be spending extra hours at the office while we're trying to tie up all the loose ends for the weddings!

helping me through the day today? peanut m&ms!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
