Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hey Ladies,

Just got finished catching up. Wanted to let you all know that I found my dress smile123.gif!!! We went all the way to Atlanta to find it (there are only 2 retailers in the entire south). The whole way there I just kept hoping the trip would be productive. Could you imagine driving 7 hours only to go back home and buy a dress?! The best part of it all was my mom paid for it!! smile29.gif She initially told me all she could contribute was $500 and the dress was much more than that so it was all totally unexpected and greatly appreciated.

On top of finding my dress I also found the BMs jewelry @ Macy's One Day Sale. This was a big deal because I got hooked on necklaces that I found months ago. I finally purchased them to find they looked horrible in person!

Amy - I would like to add my to do list please. I've been trying to sick to a list like you suggested, but I got help from an unexpected place. Since my BMs fell off with helping me because they all seem to be going through stuff right now, FI's cousin has stepped up to help me. It all kinda threw me off my list because she has many great ideas, but I needed the help. So, hopefully, now I can make the list and stick to it.

dstinationdrmr (Meredith's) to do list:

- pick a photographer already!!

- finalize FI/GM suits and ties

- buy gift for officiant

- buy his ring

- finish compiling addresses

- set up pre-marital counseling

- order sample bouquets

- update website for BMs

Also, are any of you familiar with bloom boxes? If not look it up. FI's cousin actually told me about them. I'm thinking it may be a good alternative to renting the resort's $20 vases or packing them. Let me know what you all think about them.

You girls are all too sweet.

Amy,

You remind me so much of one of my closest friends. It kinds freaks me out when I look at your picture. So many times with this type of communication you do not have a face to put with a name. In this case I feel as if I am talking to one of my girls.

I am totally freaking out because our wedding is 6 months from tomorrow and I have no dress, no invites, no save the dates, no bridesmaid dresses. I feel like I am so behind. On top of everything we just bought a house and I am trying to redecorate. I feel like a chicken with my head cutt off.

I am sorry to vent but It just keeps coming.

I got it done @ Trilogy in Valley Village. My hair dresser is Rosibel, if you go, tell her you are friends with me! She's been doing my hair now for almost 10 years and she's an amazing person and a good friend.

Problem is, I have been way over my head at work so I haven't been on much. I decided to take a much need work break this afternoon and tune back into wedding stuff. Looks like things are coming along great for you ladies. :)

Also, Amy I know that it is late but can my to-do's be added to the list? They are:

1. Get BM's to order dresses this week
2. Call Wilshire Bridal and make appt for BM to try on dress
3. Figure out invitation situation (I had ordered them and then got a proof and hated them, now waiting on more samples)
4. Take FI to look at wedding bands
5. Continue to research paper mache planters for wedding flowers
6. Find out from TA if I can change my silver package to the pearl package with Sky add on
7. Find out from TA about getting a family room on the 1st night
8. Start researching custom beach towels
9. Keep looking for flights
10. Register for gifts
11. Look for suit for FI and groom's party
12. Find mini frames that fit new polaroid photos for "photo booth"
13. Make sure "photo booth" stand will work
14. Get a quote on custom table sqaures made from vintage textiles I got at sample sale (yay!)
15. Get Shalen (sic) Extreme from BM
I can't believe you can't access BDW from home! That's so strange! Maybe your bandwidth can't support it?

I've added you to the list! Never too late :)

I really, really want them and can't justify the expense. FI would kill me if he knew how much I spent renting those chairs. Trying to figure it out. Don't know why I'm so obsessed with having to have them.

Thanks!
My original quote was $16 per chair with pad by my WC rocks and negotiated it down to $10 per chair with the chair pad.

Yes, I do have to rent them twice, SO aggrivating! I became obsessed with these chairs as well and FI told me to go for it so I did!

I saw that! My very first thought was, "that's Amanda from BDW..." don't know how I knew but thanks for confirming! :)

Ok, no problem, music can be easy to choose, we just need to narrow it down. Do you want some votes?

What is your processional song and what versions are the options?

Also, have you searched BDW? There are a handful of threads that breakdown everyone elses options for each moment, signing the register, recessional etc. That should give you options. Maybe to compromise, you split the songs, half are you choice, half are his. Just so you choose the songs quickly :)

I do?? Aww that's fun! I love it when new people/friends remind me of my girls, makes it more comfortable, you're friend must be amazing! wink.gif haha!

Wow! You've taken a lot for sure but anything can be done in 6 months, just work on stuff every day. Dress is #1 for sure! Nail that down and you'll feel fabulous, bridesmaids dresses can be easy, are you buying them for them? I literally told my girls, "wear your favorite black dress that comes to your knees and black heels" they loved this and it required no thought or effort on my part!

Are you a DIYer? I'd say send a nice email OR free VistaPrint postcard save the date out now, then either buy and print out the invites yourself and get some bridesmaids to help fold and stuff them.

You can do it! Now that I'm 2 weeks away, I'm surprised by what I can get done in a night after working all day and working out. :) Put a list together and work on one thing at a time!

Soooooo, I just learned from my travel agent that Azul is being a stinker and trying to not give me the bride & Groom Stay Free promotion that we booked under.

We booked under a promotion that B&G stay free as long as we book 16 rooms... well we booked 22 rooms. Also, we were supposed to receive the free Honeymoon package, which includes a free room upgrade. Apparently, they're not giving us that either?

I am not sure why this process is so difficult for me!!!!!

Has anyone else had any problems like this?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
