Go to their site and check it out. Even with this promo, prices are still a bit high, but this is a great start.

I'm still being patient, and hoping for the best!

I've had a wobbly day today girls. On an all time low! Not only is my dad not coming to the wedding but now our best man has dropped out. His wife is having a baby and it will only be 6/7months old when we go. (she wont let him come for a week on his own). FI is gutted to say the least. Shed a tear today over all the upset the wedding seems to be causing and wondering if a desination wedding is really worth it! Everyone seems out to ruin it for us :o(.......(sorry for being a winge bag)!

The problem is i think we are all a little 'bridezilla' at times we tend to forget other peoples lives are continuing on around us while we spend every spare moment thinking of our lovely time in the sun and our wedding - when we booked our wedding we only expected my parents and my FI mum and her partner to come, we thought everyone else would say no straight away, (inc FI dad) we now have 16 travelling with us and we are over the moon. But by booking a DW i think we have to accept 'drops out', 'cancellations' and upset over people who cant come; especially due to the location of the wedding. As long as me and my FI are there that is all that matters; it our dream day and will be no matter who comes. Chin up and remember 'nothing will spoil your day' :-)

Michelle: I know how disappointed you must be, but when it's all over and the pictures are circulating, they'll all be sorry. My FI and I made a pact when we decided to have a DW that the only thing that mattered was that we were there, in a beautiful setting, to become one. If anyone else chose to show up, we would consider it a bonus. Keep your head up!
Awww, Thanks girls.... Absolutly sure now these are what i want :-)

Awwww, Michelle.... How are you today?
Hope your feeling a bit better about everything?
I do know how your feeling lovely our circumstances are slightly different but but i really do understand. My FI's parents arent coming, and my sister isnt coming, i do have wee cry's now and again about this.... Also i was secretly hoping my sister maybe able to afford to come and last minute say she was actually coming and dont get me wrong her being pregnant again is the best thing but now i know she definatly wont be coming at all so i wont have my sis (she would have been my moh) there. :-( now i just have to secretly hope FI's parents change their mind?!?!?
but sometimes i do wonder if its all worth it... but then i tell myself...
We are doing this for us and we cant please all the people all the time (unfortunatly) and I know, no matter what as much as i will miss and probably shed a wee tear on the morning of the wedding for people who werent able to make it.... It WILL be the best day of OUR lives... EVER :-)
I know its hard Michelle but I think you would regret it more in years to come if you dont go through with your dream wedding.....

And Michelle... dont be sorry, were all allowed a winge once in a while and if you need to vent some more were hear to listen :-) grouphug.gif

Glad some of you ladies are getting some early booking discount :-) Every little helps... I dont think we get an early booking discount in the UK.. This I will have to ask about :-)

Michelle,

Sorry to hear that! I know how you feel. My selfish dad isn't coming (not talking to/seeing him now, when I don't see him, I feel less upset), I don't have a MOH yet, because I have 2 candidates, one is waiting for her papers to emigrate to the USA and the other is trying to get pregnant.

Thanx so much girls i knew you would make me feel better. Sunday was a bad day. In the last 4 months i've fell out with FMIL, found out my dad's not coming and now the bestman has dropped out. It just all got on top of me! I feel alot better and am back to the way of thinking i was before. As long as FI and the kiddies are there that is all that truely matters! I know we will have a very special day regardless of who is there or not and i, like you Nicy know i will shed a tear on the day thinking of those that couldn't make it!

It seems we've all had to go through it in some way or another and as horrible as it is it's a comfort to know i'm not the only one!

Onto a good note now! Two of my closest friends have confirmed they are definately coming now and although i was going to wait till we are all booked up i feel i need a boost so i'm going to give them their "will you be my bridesmaid" cards tonight. We're having a girlie dinner so i've bought some bubbly and really looking forward to asking them :o) Fingers x'd they say "yes".. lol. I will let you know what the outcome is tomorrow!

Just out of curiosity, where did you find your dresshuh.gif I'm also in Halifax, but fairly new here! I actually went the "knock-off" route but no success....just wasn't close enough to the original dress I wanted...so the hunt continues!

That's so exciting and I'm sure they are going to be thrilled and honored to be your bridesmaids! I think that's exactly what you need...two great friends who are excited for Mexico and excited to be with you on your big day! I'm proud of your great attitude. Once you get to Mexico (cocktail in hand) all of the drama will feel like a distant memory!!!

Oh SNAP!! Girl that is my biggest anxiety right now... it coming and looking nothing like the authentic dress but my mum says for $500 dollars (including s&h with veil) I should just be thrilled if it works out and a write-off if I'm mortified :-s I ordered it off of foryoudresses.com. They're based right in China. There were testimonials from other brides, she sent me pics of work she had done etc and even advised me to go to a pro-seamstress to get my measurements. The dress I'm having her do is the Pronovias Francoli gown from the 2011 Collection. Once i realized that most of the designer gowns are Made in China anyway - I figured why pay thousands of dollars for a designer dress manufactured in China when I can pay a few hundreds for the same dress minus the label ... made in the same place. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Yours was awful huh? Gosh - hopefully I have better luck :-s

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
