Are you working with someone from the Miami office? You could possible conference the TA and the WC from Miami on the phone to see if they can work something out. It's worth a shot.
Yazmin is my WC so I just sent her an email asking. We have 44 nights booked, and of course only 9 rooms! I'm sure my TA is getting something out of the deal, so I almost don't want to go that route yet. First I'd like to see what the WC will say. According the website, we should get comped two nights too, but believe it or not... I'd rather have the free cocktail hour more than anything! We have a small group (17) so I don't want to spend the money to book anything private, yet I want it to feel like it's private and "just for us!" =)

What rooms are you ladies booking? I think most of our guests are going with Standard on the Spa side. I think me and man might do the conciege level just because its our wedding / hunnymoon.

I also think that we might do a week at the spa and a week on the cove side so I can visit with my niece as well as the adults.

I think all of my guests are in standard rooms. Me & the soon to be hubby are staying in the concierge level room :) All on the spa side.

I see your wedding is in almost a month Jackie / Christ! Have you guys finalized everything with your WC. Decorations and Locations of events? Or are you going to do it when you get their? If you have finalized everything you should post a summery for us! I am soo sooo soo excited, I still have ten months, so i'll live vicarously threw your wedding lol.

I will probably provide them with a detail list down to the T, but then again I love planning stuff.

Yes, the bouquets are large enough to split. You aren't really suppose to tell them you are doing it and you have to physically split and reassemble them yourself. It's just helps out to save $$.

Skadow - I cant believe I only have a little over two months to go! I have done a lot but still there is a lot left to do. So far I have done the following:

- Got dress & accessories / did fitting - need to get steamed

- Got Grooms suit and accessories

- BM have their dress - need to get jewelry but that is picked out

- reserved ceremony site, cocktail reception site which will be at the Cove Terrace, and dinner reservations at Mundaca roof toop.

- Plan spa day for Friday, day before the wedding for me and the girls

- made reservations for hair appt for day of wedding (also for BMs and Jamie's mom)

- also made dinner reservations for welcome / rehearsal dinner on Friday 6/25

- OOT bags (still need to get Pashminas for them)... also getting cigars from Mexico when we get there to put in the bags.

I still need to get some gifts for the wedding party, parents, and grandparents. Also need to get some other items: fans, sand for ceremony set, tags, maracas (will buy in Mexico)... I feel like I'm forgetting something but I have all of it written down but not handy :-)

As for the details of the flowers, etc. I have an idea of what I want but will finalize the day we meet with our WC.

Hi Guys:

Quick etiquette question - I want your opinion.

We've already provided each of my 5 bridesmaids $300 each to assist with travel expenses to the wedding. Do you think its necessary I get them each bridesmaid gifts as well?

Also if someone has the Spa services menu, could you please post it?

thanks! I'm 6 weeks away! Hard to believe.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
