nope, too much money for us, we went with just an ocean view room. At Secrets Maroma, where our honeymoon is we got upgraded to an ocean front, looking forward to it! I actually think having one of those outdoor jacuzzi's especially for your honeymoon would be such a treat!

we're booking an oceanview for now also. waiting until we go down for the site visit to see if we will upgrade our room further. i'd like to see them in person before we shell out the extra cash to make sure its worth it lol

Well we booked this room for our wedding next month and now we have found out that our "Ocean Front" room is nowhere near the ocean and we do not even have a view of the ocean! This is crazy! Just wanted to let anyone know who has booked this room so that they are not disappointed on arrival. The true Ocean Front plunge pool rooms are the Presidential and Governor's suites.

THANK YOU!! HA - If thats the case ... Those two rooms are definitely TOO expensive so I better stick with the ocean view and call it a day. There are just way too many other things that I would spend that money on that are wedding related. :-s I'm sure they are gorgeous though. May we'll hit the lotto between then and now LOL

ohhh that totally stinks! We actually avoided the plunge pool rooms because we don't want to be on the first floor...but my fiance's mom just booked the ocean front plunge pool...

We booked ocean view as well - and for our site visit Ana booked our room and I have no idea what she booked but I'm assuming it'll be garden view based on the rate she quoted us.

 

It will be interesting to see the other categories...We go down May 6th for our site visit so if anyone has specific room categories or anything else that you want pictures of, let me know!

 

Also, if there are questions you're desperately trying to get answered, let me know, I have a full page of questions and I'm happy to add to them with yours.

I think I may be liking out TA's approach more and more hearing all these things about people booking. She gives us the group rate and within 60 days our guests must put down a non-refundable $250 deposit to hold their spots. Then the balance is due 45 days before the trip. I figure that will drown out the wishy-washy people who SAY they're coming. No one is going to put down a NON-refundable deposit on a trip they don't honestly think they are taking... here's to hoping anyway. Yes - I hope that it gets them booked too.

I dont want to sound like a downer but we had 3 couples pay for half of their trip and decided not to go. Sorry had to vent that. lol

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
