*Can we use the included photographer for engagement pictures the day before?

Thanks all x
I did not pay a fee for using an outside photographer and my photographer was not a guest at the resort. I am sure you can use the included photographer for an engagement shoot. I used them for my welcome dinner!

I am getting super frustrated because the communication with this resort SUCKS!!! My wedding is in about two months and you would think they could respond to an email. I don't care how busy Ana is or how many weddings they have booked, they are a resort and they are providing a service, so they need to hire more people to match the demand!!!! (Sorry... I am just tired of being nice about it because it is sooooooo frustrating!!!)

I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be to wait soooo long for an email reply...I used to get frustrated waiting 1-2 weeks! Anyway, I would definitely save your email that says you can keep Juan as your photographer. If you booked your wedding and chose your photographer prior to Adventure Photos being at the resort, they should honor what you chose! With something as important as wedding photography, they can't expect you to change your plans just because they changed their rules!

I read the reviews that said alot of people didn't use them at the resorts but for the price I figured it was a good item they could take home and re-use and a cute souvenir. I mean who couldn't use extra cups? :)
I might be interested in going in on bags if they were a good price. I'm trying to stay within $3-$5 for the bags and I figured the closer we get to fall, the more they will be clearanced.
Leah got these bags with nothing printed on them... check them out and see what you think! I like them but it's a better deal when you order more.

Did you negotiate your price for the Catamaran. I am also interested in doing a sunset cruise. They quoted me at $330 per hour if I do it for 3 hours. Also, they said transportation would be $600. I really want to have the cruise, but just wanted to see if you negotiated your price. What boat are you renting?

Chair sashes: Ok, looking at the pictures, I assumed these were part of the package, but I see it says "white covers". In the picture, I see wood chairs, no cover and a bow - anyone know what the "standard" actually looks like? Is the website what it looks like as standard? Thanks!

I was let to believe that the standard chairs are white and you can use the white covers if you want. If anyone knows different please correct me.

There are two types of chairs that are included these are white banquet chairs with a white cover in a lycra looking material - see attached. Or the white garden chairs, think wood - see attached.

Also one of the ladies asked about a long table option versus the round reception dinner table option, there is a picture attached there.

Note, that the first two pictures that show the banquet chairs is also the rain back up at DRC. let me know if there are other pictures that you ladies would like to see.

I had to break up the attachment into three as otherwise they are too big

Happy planning!

Hi ladies~

Can someone clarify the chair sash thing for me? If I bring or ship my own, will they put them on for free? Earlier posts state that they did this at no charge, but I think I saw a more recent post that states they will charge you for that?

$5 per chair sash seems outrageous to me.

you can buy the chair sashes online for 89 cents and bring them with you. last I read, ana charges $1.00 per chair to tie them. Just have your friends or family tie them on... I bought my chair sashes from wedding linens direct home page. They are really nice. I got the fuschia satin ones.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
