I think because i'm a uk bride its different - we dont have a central office (i think US have a miami office or something??) I havent even got a contract! I requested the catholic package right at the beginning. I was told I would be contacted by a WC three months before so in the meantime I had my paperwork sorted and signed and did my catholic marriage classes, get my dress etc. the three month time came and went so I decided to email maribel at MP for some info on flowers. she was very helpful and got back within 2 days. I was then assigned Cristina. I sent her an email with some standard questions (meal options, hair/makeup costs) it took her 5 weeks to email me a response and she included the package options. This was the first time I had seen the immaculate package option details so obv I freaked when I read the small print!! At no point was I told it wasnt legal! RTFM.gif

I emailed Cristina and maribel sunday morning and had a response back she doesnt think its a problem to have both a civil ceremony first to get the legal stuff done then have the priest take over and do the blessing. I have emailed the priest so hopefully he can clear things up, I dread to think how much they are going to charge me thou!!

Vent away!! Same here if someone asked me to a destination wedding I would look at prices, see if I could get time off and then decide yes or no. either they can afford it or they cant, just be honest! I love how some people avoid you like the plague when you need a answer. Its quite funny really to watch them squirm when you know they arent coming just havent got the balls to tell you! I just need to know so I can organise favours, name place cards etc. One of our guests wanted to wait and see if the prices went down... they havent they have gone up and now hes not happy but its really not my problem. I have enough stress thanks :)

Ughhh guests guests! Another stress I have...I am taking graduate courses.. and in order to register for classes.. you need to go to the location and register.. BUT THEY WON'T ANSWER my calls.. SO I AM TRECKING into BKYLN and Hopefully I will be registered!

 

I hope I can register for these online classes, and little by little start doing the work so I don't have too much craziness on my hands right before the wedding!!!

You can chose how often you want to receive them and you specify if you'd like alerts from a certain city, to a certain city, or city-to-city. Additionally, let your guest who don't use this site know that the best time to shop plane tickets is Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

This is a friendly reminder that the deadline to make a room reservation is April 19, 2010. My room block will be dropped at The Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort. A one nights deposit is needed to keep a reservation. Balances can be paid on resort arrival, however we suggest full payment prior to travel outside of the country. If you are planning on staying outside of the resort property, please let us know as well.

Janina Mendoza will be your contact out of the Miami Office of Palace Resorts.

 

I will need a final count soon before we head out of town.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
