A little worried the "rock" (haha) will get negative attention. Some people have advised me to leave my ring at home. What are you girls doing? I really want to bring mine down!
what do you mean by negative attention? What's the reason for leaving it at home other than the risk of losing it (which happens almost daily to me anyways-haha!)?

They told me there is no penalty if you want to change the date.'

I have Norma from MAC in Cancun traveling to PDC so PM me if you want her contact info. She also will bring a hair person if needed.

Here are some info from Julie.

They will not charge to take down chair sashes and put them on the reception chairs.

There are parking at the resort.

You can't get any credit if you don't want to use something in your package which sucks.

Up to 4 can go to your room 3 hours ahead of time before ceremony without a day pass. (I really hope this is right!)

you should be absolutely fine and not worried at all about anything happening to your ring. insurance is obviously always a good idea, but nothing will happen while you're down there!

and if you do happen to be in an area that's not full of tourists (with bling on their fingers as well), you can simply turn your ring on your finger so only the underside of the band is showing. no one would have to know what's then hiding on your palm side and it wouldn't draw any attention at all.

another option would be just to wear your wedding band if you're going to be worried about it and leave your e-ring in the safe during those times. but you have absolutely nothing to worry about, so you should bring your ring and wear it too!

Hi Beachbum - I am using Fernando for hair and makeup, he is in Cancun and travels to PDC and also brings a hair person with him. Here is his e-mail themakeuppros@hotmail.com.

His work is awsome but he is on the pricer side.

Here is an exmaple of his work - 11.21.09 Natalia + Justin | Wedding at Aventura Spa Palace | Photos by Sol and Vincent

This bride was from this forum and said he was awsome to work with.

And here's his website for more examples of this work the-makeup-pros

I also feel safe since everything is insured. For going to the pool in the beach I would leave it in the safe. That is what I did this last time.
I am really sad about it, but I am not bringing my ring down with me. When i travel with it I always have to register it with customs before I leave so I have proof of prior possession, and it is a huge pain.

why would you have to register it with customs, even if you're just wearing it? must be SOME ring!

Yeah, I am confused? Is there some issues with getting e-rings through customs?

I have a question about the Checklists.... if I have the lux package then things like my flowers, the musican, the Mexican trio etc are included... so my question is, on the checklist next to those individual items do you just "write in" included? It doesn't give that option, it just lists the price which I obviously don't pay for if its in my package.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
