Any 2011 Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

Cjb0arder13 - Thanx, i think the hair style you and Nicy like is lovely. I too dont want my hair to tight i want it to look loose and natural if possible. I dont mind a load of hairspray as long as it's not stuck to my head, hee hee....

My hair is thick and just below my shoulders, i'm growing it and if needed will put some clip in extensions for the day to get the style right but i'm hoping i wont need bother. I have 13months and 3weeks to grow it and i'm taking biotin tabs to help out, lol

You girlies are sooo lucky having your bridesmaids do your hair. That is great. I wish i was so lucky. I am going to have to put my trust in the resort hairdresser (Barcelo reviews are quite good of the salon so i'm OK with this) I'm going to have false eye lashes put on before we go and then just do my own makeup. I'm not really a makeup person so i dont want to pay for someone to do it really (without sounding to mean)!

Lindobride - That style is gorgeous! It's so pretty! I love the little flowers and i agree with Nicy i think the small flowers with a veil will be fine!

Ohhhhh it's so exciting. I love seeing what other brides styles/ideas are.

Oh and Nicy just checked my emails and no reply from WC yet.......

I'm wearing a veil, but I think I want some small flowers on the side too. Is anyone doing flower(s) in their hair and a veil? Too much?
Thanks Lindo! I think that hairstyle is absolutely gorgeous. I also think a veil with flowers would be way pretty, especially if they're on the small side.

haha that's funny! Great minds do think alike! Now, if only my hair looked like the models in both pictures, I would be happy!

I'm sure it'll be fine...from what I've read, sometimes the language barrier can be an issue, so just bring a picture of what you want so there's no chance of mis-interpretation.

Also...I think I'm going to be booking flights this week! Sooo exciting. Direct flights from Seattle to Cancun are super cheap through my TA, so I think this is the week to book! One more thing crossed off the list!

Hey girls! A new 2011 bride-to-be here. We're planning November 2011 and trying to decide between a few places:

Excellence Riviera Cancun

The Valentin

El dorado casitas

Occidental Royal Hideaway Playacar

I've read a lot about the ERC and am leaning towards that. Any feedback on the others would be great!

Wow booking your flights this weekend how exciting. I am so happy for you!! I'm going to take loads of pictures of hair and just give them all to the hairdresser and let her work her magic! Lol. I am quite good at doing my hair so if it does go a bit wrong i will just have a play around with it till it's right :o) I plan to marry at 3pm so i will have my hair done in early in the morning so there is plenty of time........

Nicy i only started taking them this week but i will defo let you know what they are like. I suppose they will take a few weeks to notice? I just thought it was worth a try you can pick them up in Holland & Barratt! My hair is bleached so the tablets might help with the condition of it too! It's a little on the dry side although i treat it all the time. (off to have my roots done today actually ;o).........

I love the first make up! Very pretty and natural. I will go with something like that with the false eyelashes on. A little shimmer on my cheeks and lips and away we go! Yippeee........

21 sleeps Nicy and we can finally book! Whoop whoop!!!!

I am jealous of the girls having a friend doing the photos lol. In a nice way though hee hee, FI's friend is a photographer but he cannot make it to Mexico. It would be so nice if he could do our photos and make me feel alot more relaxed about it! He is going to do our AHR photos instead :o)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
