Lizzy and Gem, Tiara sent me a couple of pictures of the natural arch, but I seem to be a techno dummy and can't get them posted here. it's $175.00. Send me your email address and I will forward the pictures to you.

I think they use the beach on the west side of the pier for weddings and have it closed off to the rest of the people at the resort. I stayed at this resort 9 years ago and at that time this beach didn't even exist. In that direction, there are no other resorts or access to the public. Very private.

I had a hard time deciding between the beach and the gazebo for our ceremony. The gazebo is beautiful but we ended up picking the beach for the simple reason we wanted to get married on the beach. My biggest concern is that the sand will be too hot to wear barefeet. My bridesmaids are wearing short dresses and from pictures I have looked at... I don't really like the look of flip flops with the dresses. My other thought is if it is still sunny at 4:30 we will be squinting or wanting to wear sunglasses.

Time is running out so I guess I will deal with these things when I get there.

Best wishes to all the April Brides!! : )

Hey, Maybride. My email address is [email protected]. Thanks for the pics=) I agree with you...I really like the gazebo but really want to get married in the sand so thats why we are doing it on the beach. My bridesmaids are wearing short dresses, too, and our ceremony is at 4....didn't even think about the sand but we will just deal with that when we get there, too, lol:) Thats great about the beach being so private for the ceremony and stuff=) Thanks for the info =) Less than 2 months for you!! yey!!

This might be a really dumb question but here goes... for the ceremony, do we order chairs for the wedding party as well as the guests or just the guests?
I am trying to to a price total and not sure how many chairs I will need.

I am now down to days on my countdown... Soo excited!!
I agree with Amy, your wedding party will be standing for your ceremony so I don't think you'll need chairs for that. But what are your plans after the ceremony? Are they using the same chairs? If so, then I guess you would need to take the wedding party into account.

I'm SUPER, SUPER excited for you April brides!!

I'm getting nervous, anxious and excited all at once! I can't imagine how April brides feel right now!

I haven't really done anything and feel overwhelmed too but I can't help but to think things will be taken care of when we get there. I also just got an email from the resort's 2nd wedding planner Yanna Guzman. She's been reassigned to handle our wedding. I sure hope things will just fall into place!

Tiara told me that the price of the chairs includes the use of them for both the ceremony and reception; therefore I will be asking for as many chairs as there is guests (including the wedding party). This way there may be extra for the ceremony but there will be enough for the reception.

Hey Gem,

My colours are white and natural - i.e. raffia, starfish decorations and white manzanita branches with orchids for centerpieces. I have 40 large starfish and am now thinking I should have bought more ... I will have one on the back of each chair, along with tulle.

I just love the idea of natural colours.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
