ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

so that makes two of us having an extra tough time with angie. hmmm.

i asked her if it would help to move the time of our wedding up so we could get a spot for a beach reception (the ONLY thing available is a small inside venue at the royal). surprise - no response yet. i'm dying here. i will be pretty disappointed if i can't do the beach reception. i know that it's not the most important part of the day, but it would add sooooo much to the whole beach wedding experience, i think. i'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Hey ladies, so going down to do a site visit and food tasting in 2 weeks for

The Royal!! Our wedding won't be until April next year but I'm looking forward to seeing everything in person and making a final decision.

Since we were having issues with Suzanna we also scheduled a site visit for Wicky's, just in case The Royal does not work out. We've been in contact with Aja now and she's been great! I'm hoping no more communicatin issues arise and The Royal works out for us .:) I sent in the $200 depsoit today to secure our date.

When I get back I'm sure I'll have plenty of information to share.

When Angie wasn't sending me anything, I sent Aja a message basically begging if she could take over my file. Y'all have said she's realy nice and pretty quick to get back with you. She said she couldn't since Angie is her manager. I was so disappointed! I really wanted to work with her since y'all have said nothing but good things about her.

i feel bad for you ladies that have angie...i would just go nuts if i had her! my WC Julie has nothing but fabulous for me! she said that i won't have to pay a vendor fee for DJ Ivan if we already booked him. So i'm carrying that to Mexico if they want to charge me for the vendor fee!

i had thought about doing that so many times, since everyone speaks so highly of aja and i've had such a hard time getting anything done! angie seemed really on the ball at first, but has just been a bit too unresponsive. i'm amazed at their standards of customer service. i do think the real resorts would be apalled if they knew. but, as someone said, they know that they will continue to get bookings, so they likely don't need to do much to fix it. good for them, bad for brides!

Would you stay or go somewhere else if your wedding was in a month in a half? sad.gif
Wow, this is horrible! Don't worry, I am working with the coordinator in Mexico right now and they are fantastic to deal with. They might still take a bit to get back to you, but when they do they answer all of your questions and give you straight answers! Makes you feel a lot better. You are the day after me I believe. If you are having that many problems send me a PM and I will give you the contact for the Royal (he is a higher up there). He can put you in contact with your WC at the Royal!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
