Has anyone used the hotel photographer at Grand Palladium Jamaica?

Hi! I am also tryin to figure out what to do about a photographer. Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to bring a photographer? I will be there March 15-22 if anyone is interested in sharing a photographer. Has anyone been able to use Sungold recently?

hello everyone,

my wedding was last week at the palladium and we used sungold associates (RS and AG). They were both fanastic. We had no problems with the hotel-during our meeting with Nina she asked about true colors and I just said I did not want them at the wedding. She asked if we had our own photographer and we said yes and that was it. She showed me where to have the photographer at the ceremony (for us walking down the aisle) and there were no problems at all with us having our own photographer. We booked a room for the photographers which i think ended up being cheaper than day passes b.c they were there the day of the wedding as well as the day after for the TTD.

We decided to use our free 8 photos from true colors for our guests so we had them come to the reception to take pictures. To be perfectly honest my guests had a hard time choosing what pictures to take because none of them were any good. I am soooooo glad we did not use them for our wedding. The edges of the photos were uneven because they cut them with a papercutter (they are not printed to size). If pictures are important to you I would not recommend using True Colors.

Congratulations on your wedding i am getting married in dec this year...how was everything..i visited grand palladium in june and i have to agree...i am bringing my own photographer with me...there pics arent that great.

I am getting married April 28th !!! I am using Sungold Photography there amazing they are located in Jamaica. I know a few brides who have used them and no issues just dont mention they are locals if you decided to use them. We ended up booking with the owners Paula and Damion!!

we are getting married at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton on November 28, 2009 we are using Diana Campbell of Digital Memories Collection at Negril Wedding Photographers, Montego Wedding Photography, Jamaica Wedding Photographer, Jamaica Weddings, Photojournalism.

Check out her website, she has been used by other brides on this forum and they have been very happy with there photos.

On a personal note, Diana has been extremely helpful with everything, from the sand ceremony to the TTD session site, to recommended excursion. It helps to have someone familiar with the area to assist with picking locations. We will be going to Negril (the cliffs) and to Mayfield Falls for the TTD session. Diana has become more than just our photographer she has become a friend and a very helpful advisor/wedding planner.

Diana has kept contact through email and by phone, she has been supportive when needed and provided me with the assurance required when using a photographer off the internet. I look forward to meeting her in person in just 7 days to work out the final details.

Hey Ladies it looks like True Colors is in the process of updating their website. I have to say, I am impressed with what they have posted so far.

Thanks for the update on True Colors. I just checked out their site, even though its still a work in progress its 1000% better than what they were advertising two weeks ago!!

There website looks pretty good compared to other local photographers. Has anyone found any posts or pictures from grand palladium brides who have used them??
