"just felt really nervous about sending a fax with my info on it and not knowing exactly where it was going to end up and who might see it."

EXACTLY! If she is that inundated, I don't want my credit card info just sitting in an 'inbox' pile of paperwork. The weddings go off smoothly in the end but I still think that it is ridiculous that this poor woman doesn't have an assistant to handle the administrative side of things, even if were someone who simply answered emails and returned calls etc. For a 5 star resort, I would have to say that there is a definite lack of professionalism as far as correspondence between brides and Ana, which isn't even her fault. One person simply cannot be expected to handle so many clients at once :-s

For those of you nervous about faxing info over, have you thought about scanning your documents and then emailing them? Just a thought. Of course, email isn't always the safest thing these days either but at least you don't have to worry about your paperwork getting lost in the middle of a stack of other paper.

It was really a downer when it happened but in the end, we didn't really miss them because we had so much fun with the people that did come. When you do get to Mexico, and you are at the swing bar with a Mango Tango (which are sooo good!), you probably won't care as much about the things you are worried about now! I didn't have one worry once I got there even though I was majorly stressed before I left. It is so beautiful there...your wedding will be amazing!!!
That sounds really good!!

Laura did you get the complimentary room the night before your weddinghuh.gif and what is the honeymoon package??

She used to take a couple of days to get back, then a week, now it is 2. I agree with everything said on here.... and I, too try to relax...but I think in the end, we all just want some answers so that we can plan things. Oh well... here is for hoping she gets some help!

Anyone else going to be down there around Oct 24?? :)

I know I have asked this before- but what are you guys doing for your rehearsal dinners?
We will be arriving on the 24th. Our wedding is the 26th. What time is your wedding and are u having it on the beach or at the gazebo? If I am there in time, I may have to sneak peak at yours. :) Ours will be very small, just family and a few friends so we will not be having a rehearsal dinner. How long will you be at dreams?

Yeah we were hoping to have fire dancers as well. Ana had quoted me USD 1,000 for 40 minutes, 6 dancers if I recall correctly. Or for 20 min. USD 800 and I think 5 dancers... atleast she kept referring to 5 elements, which I gather is dancers. Unfortunately I have repeatedly asked for pictures or video or atleast name of who it would be and none have been provided. I thought that 40 min. would be too long and that our guests would actually get tired of it, but USD 800 for 20 min. to be seems allot! I told her that I would book USD 600 for 20 min but so far that is a no go. Let me know how it goes.

This is what I did for my deposit and I had a confirmation from her within about an hour with a receipt.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
