Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Recommended Posts

I think we all are in the same boat... we can all plan to go down there together :) have some drinks, relax, and talk to Ana :) hahaha J/K

She used to take a couple of days to get back, then a week, now it is 2. I agree with everything said on here.... and I, too try to relax...but I think in the end, we all just want some answers so that we can plan things. Oh well... here is for hoping she gets some help!

Anyone else going to be down there around Oct 24?? :)

I know I have asked this before- but what are you guys doing for your rehearsal dinners?

So far yes, because I really haven't bothered talking to Ana on my own. If I need answers for a question I generally ask all the ladies here on the forum or my TA. But I know when I'm closer to the date I'll be having to contact her for all the little details - hopefully by then she's got things more under control!

We set up a website as well - and we have a section on there for "Travel Information" Under that we wrote - there are two ways for you to book your travel to our wedding:

1. Using our Travel Agent - then we listed her contact information, what she'll need to get you booked, her price match information and payment information (no fee, but a deposit is required, full payment due 60 days before travel)

2. Book on your own - we stressed that if something were to go wrong (flight cancellation etc) you'd be on your own (although we said it nicer then that!) but here are a few websites the help you - then we listed the Dreams Website. Be sure to remind people that it's Dreams Riviera Cancun NOT Dreams Cancun...that's my biggest fear for people people booking on thier own.

Then on the response card for our invitations we have line that says:
Arrival Date:
Arrival Time:

So we can keep track.

does that help?
Thank you so much-that is very helpful! Think I have an idea of where to start now :)

We should be down that week to do our site visit :-) Maybe I'll get to sneak a peek of you.

Ladies I have no answer either. I went to go try on wedding dresses today did not find anything. My wedding is very soon MAY!! I have no dress, no answer, no decorations, and people dropping out of the wedding. I am really regretting my choice of a destination wedding. I know in the end it will all work out it is just hard to stay positive when everything feels like it is not working.

I wish I was in Mexico swinging at the bar drinking a very strong drink. lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
