Samira (and others who asked about this)- If you have your reception at Chilli's, you can have the buffet dinner without an extra cost; however, if you want a sitdown dinner it is $25 extra per person.

I'm actually a little irrtated though, because Ael just got back to me and said that even through we're paying extra for the menu, we HAVE TO CHOOSE ONE MAIN COURSE for everyone. If someone doesn't eat meat, there is pasta they can have, but I'm still disappointed that EVERYONE can't just order what they'd like from the menu.

So if you have less than 60 people you will be at Botogo and do not have to pay this.. that's my understanding anyway.
ok that makes more sense because I have never read about the $25 up until now.

Thank you for clearing that up=--- I'm irritated for you!!! I mean- I kind of get the alcohol thing- if they only serve beer and wine normally then whatever- but FOOD restrictions!! It's a freaking restaurant!! shots.gifDoesn't make sense..... not to make you stress or anything-- sorry- I'm sure it will all turn out great.wink.gif

Thanks for sharing my irritation girls, lol! And you're so right Jannae...it's a freaking restaurant...they have more people at each sitting every night than I do in my group that order off of the menu every single night...so I don't get it! I guess I will see what happens when I have my meeting with her.

I was given a fact sheet from the groups department with all the pricing options for private versus semi-private functions, cocktail events and all options for 2011. It does list all of these fees in it...probably won't help all of you 2010 brides but if anyone would like to see it please feel free to email me and I'll send it your way...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
