Linhy, it sounds like you are really on top of things..good for you- love the shoes. I will be going barefoot or with flats since I already 5'9.

Nicx- just love your foot decoration

I love the idea of your son walking you down the isle, so sweet =)

Have you guys picked your colours yet?

You don't think it's way too long right??
Nope, not too long to read! It will nicely spread on a folded brochure/pamphret.
Hey, it is my wedding, so I want everything my way (the way I envisionned it!) Mouhahaha. I think most of the men have a general sense on the general things about weddings/receptions/etc , but I won't delegate the planning to my FI when it comes to small details (that can adds up to a lot like decor, centrepieces, giftbags, programs...).

Julie! My colors are olive green, brown and white. My theme is "Go Green" so everything I picked out from invitations to center pieces has to something to do with eco friendly. even my tote bags. How about you Julie? Are you picked one out yet prettypigpig?

I picked blue and ocean/beach theme ( I guess not that original for a destination wedding..heehee). I will use sand dollars and shells as deco, seating cards, and guest book (guests will write on the sand dollar and shells, and I will put them in a wood display box with sands).

Michelle - I love that your son is walking you down the aisle. That is so sweet!! I understand how your dad feels. I travel a LOT, just because I live to travel. But people are always shocked to learn that I'm actually terrified of flying. I've never let it get in the way of my trips, but it weighs on me a lot, causing me to stress and lose sleep over upcoming flights. I'm going to Africa for the summer, for an internship, and I've been watching flight prices. Every time I look at those flights though, I feel myself start to panic and the anxiety starts, dreading getting on that plane. I keep traveling often though because I think if I ever went more than a couple of months without flying, it will get harder and harder to do it!

And did I mention that my fiance is a pilot? Hahaha he thinks I am crazy.

Julie - thank you, he is a good boy and i'm sure we will all be emotional on the day. My friend has already said she will cry when she see's Harrison walking his mum down the aisle. Bless.....

Our colour is PINK! I am Pink mad! It couldn't be anything else for me :o)

Mexbride83 - I totally understand what you are saying. I to am petrified of flying but like you i dont let it stop me from going away. I have always had a fear of flying and also like you i panic at the thought of it. When we get to the airport i panic alot and it's not nice. I will not let it get in the way of my dream wedding in Mexico though. My dad used to fly every year then he stopped and he can't go back..... It's sad but it's our choice to marry abroad and i dont want him getting all worked up over it. He will be at the AHR so he's not totally missing out.. :o)

Ha ha that is so funny your FI is a pilot.....My fiance, son & daughter think i'm strange as they love flying. I just sit quietly, glued to my seat, jumping at the slightest turbulence! lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
