found our chair bows, table runners and rose petals online (havent ordered though)

I'll be there!!

I got mine from a bridal store in NJ.

I sent STD's about a year in advance and will send out my invites sometime in March because it will my travel agents info so my guests can contact her and start booking.

Chair bows, table runners, rose petalshuh.gif I didn't do any of that!! Are you bringing all of that with you?

I think I may have a get together right before the wedding and give out OOT bags then. This way I don't have to bring all of that stuff with me.

I haven't really done much so far and reading this site makes me feel like I'm slacking!!! haha.

What are you doing about a photographer?

This site totally makes me feel like a slacker too. Other than the things I've listed...I don't really plan on doing much else other than pick the wedding party clothes. Stress free wedding =)

I want to bring the bows/runners/petals because the cost will be significantly less than getting them from MP. I'm not doing much in the way of decor at the ceremony/reception, but I figured I could spring for a little color on the chairs and tables.

My photographer is Sascha Gluck...just posted on your photog thread. I had to book him a night at MP but I think it is so worth it.

Did you order the bows and table runners knowing how many chairs or tables you will need already?

I emailed him a couple months ago when I started looking into outside vendors. I like his work. I'm also in contact with Lidia Grosso (phtographer).

Looking at this site I also found out so many people actually get married before Mexico to avoid the charges and the blood tests.

Hi Scorpio,
I was really laid back initially so didn't really start thinking about what I wanted but since I've been on here I've really been inspired to get things going!!

Being as we're along way from Mexico and the price it costs to get there we sent the invites out in January so that people can get booked up and pay it off over a couple of months - how about you?have you done invites of STD's?

So far I have ordered my dress, FI knows what waistcoat/trousers he wants so it's a matter of ordering those. I hope to get my bridesmaid dresses this month (altho one of my bridesmaids is currently in australia!!)
Our wedding co-ordinator contacted us last week after I asked Claudia for further details on wedding locations so it feels like I can start getting things sorted which is soo excited. We've chosen the Tucan Gazebo for the wedding location and still contemplating evening details!!
How are your plans coming along? It feels like the year is going to go so fast and October will be here before we know it!

Hi Asbarret,
It's definately going too fast but on the other hand I'm soo excited for it I hope it comes round quickly!
We're going to the Bahamas after Mexico then back to sunny England for our AHR a few days after - I definately think it's a good idea to have a few days on your own with your new hubby after -you can relax then :)

Hi Kathryn - this site is definitely putting my butt into gear!! I sent out my STD's last OCT. I'm going to send out my invites in March so people can start booking.

I haven't been assigned a WC at MP yet!!! So I have no idea where I want to book things. I know I want to be married on the beach, but not sure about the private reception yet. I got my dress already and will gp looking for BM dresses in March or April.

One of my BM is in FL!!!

We plan on staying at MP for the week after our wedding! I didn't even think about going anywhere else! Hmmmmmmm

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
