Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum and just starting to ready everyone's posts! So far very informative. I'm getting married at Moon Palace 10/23. I sent my save the dates back in Oct and I'm just about to order my invites. I was curious about the phtographer the resort provides and if the work they do is good. Would be interested i hiring an outside vendor for this. Any feedback would be great!! More input the better!

If you used a travel agent have them get involved and have them ask the miami office to honor all of these things for you! OK off to have some fun with my guests! Talk to you all soon!

Welcome new brides!!

ohhhhhhhhhh so you've been before? WAHOO! is it fabulous?!

yeah you have a choice, have you been sent a list of the gazebo's and terraces? if you give me your email addy i can forward it if you want?

I'm far too laid back about this wedding! I have lots of ideas of what i want but not sure if i'll bother! haha! as long as H2B and I are there I don't care! Our theme is Lemon and Navy, but until we're 100% sure on what's happening (ie restaurant or private event) we're not thinking about it too much.

as for restaurants, i found that hard. in the end i went through all the mp review threads and tried to put something together. i made a thread on here called Moon Palace Restaurant Review thread. hopefully that will help you somewhat :) we chose ours on the reviews, and the fact they served ribeye steak! haha!

it does seem easy doing it that way, especially if it includes everything you want.

i've been really lucky with my WC, only because palace resorts made a bit of a mix up at the beginning so i think it was kind of compensation for them to give me a WC early. i think you've probably gathered from other girls here that they're not fast at replying to emails. What i found was easier was to put everything on a word document telling them what i wanted. about 2 months later i got a reply that everything was fine so that's good. but the way i figure, even if i don't get the location i want, nor the restaurant i want nor the decor, i don't overly care. i just want us to get married without a lot of hassle and stress!

what is your dress like? i found it REALLY hard because i didn't want a traditional english wedding dress you know? but i agree, once i got it i felt a lot better! My H2B and his boys are wearing Navy. yours? what about your BM's? my MOH is in Navy like the boys, and my two flower girls are in Ivory.

yeah i totally agree! you have to have an opportunity to wear your dress again! and to party with everyone who couldn't come!!! i've booked mine, all pretty much sorted! im more organised with that than i am with mexico! haha!

Hi Woodsylou, yea we absolutely loved cancun, there was lots to do and it was so gorgeous so if you didn't want to do anything you could just relax and not do a thing. I'm sure anyone would love it!

Thanks for the offer of the info - I actually mailed Claudia on Saturday to ask for some info on the wedding locations and reception locations and she got back to me with details and then Lily emailed me as well with lots of information which was lovely! I am starting to think that I want everything!

My dress is quite big! Alot bigger than I though i'd go for I hope it's ok to transport over there - I might leave it in my moms capable hands because we're stoppin off in mexico on the way. It's by maggie sottero and it's called Jenna.

I must have a look at the restaurant review thread thanks! although if we do have the private event on the evening I think we'll be having a buffet. I just love the pics of the terrace with the tables and lanterns!

2 of my bridesmaids are booking up today - i love it when people book! I'm sure all destination brides feel the same!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
