Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Okay, after hearing Taylor's story, I'm a little bit worried. If you go to the Karisma hotels website, and click on the weddings, then the private event banquet package, they have completely changed all of the menus, and they are over double/triple what I had been planning on paying (I was using one of the set menus). The reason I was concerned was because I sent in my details sheet last week with the menu on it, and when Tiffany sent it back, she had taken it off. So I resent it to her again, and now I'm just waiting to hear from her. I haven't paid off my balance, so I hope she doesn't tell me that the menus have changed--I really don't think I could afford to have a private reception with the new prices posted....

Ouch! Are you kidding me? I don't get how they can do this to people?

This week when people were mentioning their TA pushing Karisma... it happened to us with the our TA in Canada. We told her what we wanted and she kept bringing up Karisma, how wonderful they are, that if she were to get married all over again this is where she would do it... hmmm I wonder how much commission they actually pay the TA's or what perks they get from them?

I'm getting really worried about all off these changes and the way they have no issue implementing changes without informing anyone ahead of time or informing them once they've taken place. It's dispointing to plan your dream wedding, get exicted about something and then to have it taken away. Not cool.

Oh yeah the new menu options are soooo expensive! I saw them yesterday. I think I am going to call Monday and make sure my sheet is still in tact.

I have a couple lawyers in the family I will have to get involved if I start getting screwed.

I read my contract with them last night, and in no way did it say terms and conditions and offerings were able to be changed.

I actually am not worried about all these changes... that may sound cocky but I really think we can all get our way. That would be SERIOUSLY foolish for them to change policy willy-nilly after offering us options and then take them away. They'd go out of business in a year.

I emailed my WC just in case to ensure that the food and prices for what I've already chosen remain.

I hope I'm not wrong but I think we should all relax just a little bit because stressing for the next 1-2 months over our weddings aren't going to make things any better.

I'm so certain that everything will work out, just bring evidence with you of emails and what was agreed upon down with you to the onsite coordinators and nicely demand they be adhered to.

:)

All us brides with upcoming weddings very soon should be totally in the clear, it make take a few words depending on your WC but I'm still confident we're good!

Wow, that is a huge jump in price!! $28 seems very reasonable for filet mignon and lobster tail...I want to come to your wedding!

Gah I'm so confuuuuuused! Tiffany had said that I could do a private reception for $14 pp, Tiffany says "This dinner event includes a private area, private service staff, and private international open bar, round tables that hold up to 7 people, eating/drinking utensils and chairs with white covers/white bows."

So does this include the actual DINNER, or just the private reception (meaning drinks, tables, UTENSILS-gee, thanks!, and chairs)? Do I have to pay above and beyond that for the actual FOOD?

Pleeease help :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
