Gift ideas for a special sister

Recommended Posts

i'm pretty sure that tiffany's engraves things too, so if you got a thick bracelet or pendant (rather than a chain) you could write 'thank you' or 'i love you' on the back...

i may do this for my sis and write 'bff' on it wink.gif cheesy, but i dont care.

I'm not going to have BMs now, but I'll still make the albums. I've done the hard part already, might as well finish it.

What a great idea! I may steal this one from you:)

I am making my sisters shutterfly books of pictures of us as kids and leading up until now ( or the wedding). I wrote some text for it similar to the writing style of Dr. Suess. It has been fun to make and I know they will love it.

My sister made one of these for us when she got married Personalized Family Name Picture Frames, Engraved Family Names on Wooden Frames

She had sisters on the side and all 3 of our names. I just love mine. It has a picture of the 3 of us at her shower.

I think a locket of the two of you is a beautiful personal gift that your sister will forever treasure.

I have three lockets of various sizes, I wear all three of them almost daily. I have the three of them on a very long chain. People are forever noticeing them. One locket has my 2 girls pictures in it, the second locket has my 2 boys, and the last locket holds my dads picture. I treasure all of them, they mean sooo much to me.

I don't know if you can see the lockets but here is a picture of me wearing them to give you an idea of the type of chain I wear them on.

That's fine. I'm stole the idea from the friend who made it for me.

There are stickers about friendship, etc. in the scrapbook aisle of craftstores. I bought a set of those to use for the photoalbum.

Another gift I really liked was a picture frame that had words schlacked (sp?) all over it. She cut the words out from magazines. They were all inside jokes we had. The frame is a wide, flat frame made for crafts. I think it came from walmart.

How about a digital picture frame with photos of the two of you, as well as family/friends, anything meaningful to you both -- from over the years. Then, she will be able to add more photos to it as the years go by ... and can have it on her desk at work or somewhere at home where it plays the slideshow continuously.

I think those digital photo frames are the bomb!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
