centerpiece-no flowers

Recommended Posts

We did tall vases with 3 gerber daisies each for $15/table if you decide you DO want flowers - they brought the colors together and looked very pretty.

We also had large fishbowls with shells, sand and water with floating off-white candles from Michael's that honestly looked even prettier then the flowers once the sun went down. I had rented the bowls thru my WC for $5/each and brought down my own shells and a couple packages of floating candles. i wish i had a picture - they looked gorgeous! (if I do say so myself...)

What are your colors?
I love this idea Janet, so simple and pretty!

I am just doing lot's (and I mean lot's) of pillar candle's with shell pot pouri all around the candle's. I want a warm romantic feel, like we are at an intimate dinner with good friends, good food, and good wine...

Keep in mind that you want your centrepiece to mesh with whatever table type you are having, long vrs round, it could determine what you choose.

We aren't using flowers on our centerpices either.. We're doing the sand/starfish in a hurricane.. also a hurricane of Oranges (you can do limes or lemons too).. and a very cool light box with a floating FAKE orchid in a hurricane on top of it. Since it's suspended in water.. you can't even tell its fake!! I'd post the example picture.. but I can't figured out how to get gosh darn pics on here..

Are you guys planning on packing everything? Or are your wedding coordinators helping you find stuff in your destinations? It seems like we're already bringing a lot down for OOT bags, and I'm not sure how we'd get glass hurricanes or bowls down? I considered buying stuff in Jamaica, but I'm a little worried we wouldn't find what we wanted. What are you all doing?

I want to bring it all down with me, so I don't have to worry about finding stuff once I'm there. That's what so hard about deciding what to do for centerpieces b/c you have to think about packing it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
