I found a great way to add fun and interest to a wedding website and gather valuable information at the same time - adding polls/surveys! Once you register at Create free online surveys and polls with PollDaddy.com - Use our award winning survey software to conduct your research., you can create and design polls or surveys, AND track the results. The process is super easy - much like the one that many of us used to create tickers. Uploading the polls to our free website on mywedding.com was a breeze!

So far, I've added two polls to our site:

- one asking guests if they plan to arrive in Cancun Thursday or Friday, so I can plan our Welcoming Margarita Mixer party; and

- one asking guests if they are interested in attending a Post-Wedding Brunch (we don't want to get out of bed if only two people will show up)

There are other options too, including allowing guests to view the results in differents formats, how many times each person is allowed to vote, and letting guests add comments.

I'm hoping that adding the polls will keep the interest going and entice our guests to check in frequently. I'm excited about using this format to gather information and thrilled that its FREE!

My wedding website is: Charlie & Jean - wedding website by mywedding.com

The wedpass is: la fiesta

You will need to register in the site (free) before you enter the wedpass.

It allows guests to put in an email address that is only visible to you, and they can post comments. You can list instructions for them to post their addresses in the comments section if you'd like. The website does allow you to manage your guest lists with RSVP tallys, exporting your list to a spreadsheet, and tracking meal preferences if you give your guest this option.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
