I wanna say the dates we were there was June 12-16?? My dad sat at the Cat's ice cream parlor balcony and watched a wedding that was at Dreams while we were there. I find it funny now that we know we will get married there blush2.gif However, I am one of the few who wants a beach ceremony instead of the gazebo.

Those are pretty what centerpieces do you mean. At your dinner the day of the wedding. I didnt even think about that lol. Will most likely use our flowers I guess. My brother in law /husband of a BM developed shingles and I am stressing over no one in my family catching it.

I'm not sure if you're doing the legal or symbolic wedding, but from what I've heard all of the ceremonies are typically fairly short (I've heard as quick as 15min!) so if you think that having standing room for your guests would be sufficient, or appropriate, for you then maybe the DPA wedding coordinator Jacy can comment on that if you send her an email.
We are doing a symbolic ceremony...so it will definitely be short. I didn't even think about having some people stand...I think that would definitely work. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi girls! I wanted to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Jen and I am from NJ. I am officially a DPA bride!!!!! We are getting married January 14, 2011. :)

I feel alittle overwhelmed because I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing. I have my dress. My bridesmaids have their dresses too, but I feel like I should be doing something more...

First off Congratulations. Thats awesome and hehe nope you have lots of time. Good for you for already having your dress and your bridesmaids dress. The resort from the sounds of things takes care of everything pretty much closer to the date. If you really want to do something you can plan an OOT bag and start putting those together. I still have to finish mine, 7 days to go. There are some great threads on them. Whats your honey wearing. I had such a hard time finding something beach casual for mine to wear. Again congrats and welcome to the DPA family.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
