Thanks Tiffani1980 and Good Luck with the remainder of your plans - I'll be looking forward to reading your review.

We have yet to confirm our dinner location. We will be getting firedancers and are hoping that there is an area that would permit the dancers to perform directly on the beach and out guests not too far away.

We were looking at the Terraza Venado but the WC doesn't think the guests will be able to see the firedancers if they perform on the beach. Maybe I'll try for a beach dinner?!

Just wondering who you have booked your firedancers through? I'd love to have them at our wedding....didn't know it was an option at moon palace! :)

We received a quote from a company for $260.00 US for 3 dancers, 10 minutes. Because MP doesn't require outside vendors, we have to use the company they suggest. We were originally quoted $1500 US for 4 dancers/15 minutes. I was floored with the difference in prices. Upon bringing it to my WC and the company's attention they requoted @ $680 US tax in. The company is Zúñiga Productions | Special Event Services for Groups and Conventions
Hope this helps.

LOL ...if your wedding was April 18 - we could have split the cost :)

thanks for that....there's no way we can afford $680 for a ten minute show...woooowwww!! we are planning on having the mexican band for after the ceremony, and think thats about $500...maybe i'll wait and see your review on the firedancers and possibly do a swap!

i've contacted zuniga for prices on furniture and paper lanterns so we'll see what i get back for that!

We decided on the firedancers over the Mariachi band ($580 US for 1 hour). I think my guests will appreciate the firedancers more. Please keep me posted on your quote for furniture and paper lanterns. I'm bringing a few paper lanterns for table setting and placing battery tealights inside but I'd like to put up a few around our table(s). But with a beach dinner I'm not sure how/where they'll string them.

Hi girls

I got a quote from Zuniga - these prices are BEFORE tax and transportation:

paper lanterns - $400

firedancers - $450

portable dance floor - $350

But then the transportation charge is $150...and then with tax...total is coming in at just under $1500 sad.gif

Hoping to get a better quote...but we'll see!

Did anyone else get quotes including transportation? If its just on there for the dancefloor...i'll forget that one!!jeezzz!!

I too will be having the fire dancers for our welcome dinner and they are charging me $450.00/15 minutes, 3 dancers w/DJ. My WC recommended that we have the dinner with the performers at the Terraza Mar, a new terrace on the Grand side. I have attached pictures of Terraza Mar, since you can't find this terrace anywhere else. I wanted to have Salsa Dancers for the Reception but she told me it was going to cost almost $1400 for 45 minutes. GEESH!! So I said no thank you. I might ask if they can come in for 15 minutes and find out what that cost is.

We are also working with Zuniga on flower arrangements, plates, chairs, dance floor and decorations. And PSAV for LED lights, Audio and DJ. Let me know if you need what I was priced for. Our reception will be in the Jupiter Ballroom on the sunrise side.

In regards to transportation, I just looked at my sheet and I was quoted $150.00 on transportation as well and the taxes are 11%. My GOODNESS that is a little high!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
