Tiffuhhknee you were probably around Puerto Aventuras when I was there!! Small world. I went swimming with the dolphins a couple days after my wedding with our flower girl and we got to see the baby dolphin!

I think you can cash them at the resort but only if they have enough "cash" on hand. Plus the fee is higher at the resort than it is in the actual town itself (sorry I don't remember the fees offhand).

There is no fee you just have to show id. The will give you usd if they have it. I suggest you go first thing in the morning. They get a big drop and change in the morning. If not you get pesos and the exchange rate is not that bad but you will get better at the bank. We got 1usd to 12.5 peso where as the bank we could have gotten 12.85 Not that big of a difference. We found it convenient to carry some pesos with us as at some stores they ripped us off with the exchange rate.

Good Luck!

Plate of tropical fruit

One bottle of champagne

Champagne breakfast in bed (Reservations must be made in advance with guest service)

Thats from jacy's email earlier today. HTH's.

I booked my MAC trial for Friday yay but be honest ladies how much am I going to spend? Lol. So I tried three bridal boutiques on Tuesday and not one carried Alfred Angelo BM dresses so I am going to try to get to Bridal Centre on Friday morning. I dont want to have to go to Ethos and no idea where the Parisienne is. Those are the only three listed in Calgary as dealers.

Got my flowers today. Bouquets are good the corsages are weird and the grooms bout was fugly. I will take a picture and post. It made no sense to me. So I am going to fix it up. But the rest was good.

Got my Starfish in the mail from the starfish passing thread. Janna you could use it too for your borrowed and blue if you wanted while I am there. It came with a little journal and 4 different brides stories in it. Very cool. Its all coming together ladies. Hopefully the site wont be slow tomorrow and I can get on. TTFN

I'm a first time user of MAC...
Too much $$ for makeup in my mind :|, I have a friend who works at DT Mac and my gift from her for my shower was my make up... Your looking at around $13 per color for eye shadow, 20-30 for foundation/blush etc. go to the website the prices are listed! M·A·C Cosmetics BUT with that being said.. the quality is totally worth it!.
I didn't have to re-touch my make up once that day.

Good Luck!

My make-up for the wedding is mostly MAC. (eyes, blush, lips etc) I use MAC now and got a trial done with a 1/2 face to take down with me as a template with #'s so that the gals know which product to use and in what order. Its good to know Rain that it stayed on all day! I use smashbox primer too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
