Okay just wanted to make sure this is true or not.

I am going to be going with the love package. Is it okay to not to have the cocktail hour and add more guest onto the dinner for the reception. We are going to have about 7 more guest then what the package offers to include. I was just wondering if this something that is confirmed for sure from Ana. Thanks girls. I hate to email her and bother her with it if it is not true.

We fly out of Atlanta GA so it's not a long flight and we fly out that morning. Just out of curiosity...what room did yall book? I booked Honeymoon Suite but not hearing that good of reviews about it. Are you having a large wedding?

Also- what are you ladies doing about your hair and makeup? I know there are places down there that do it... and if I remember correctly in one of the packages it is included. Have any of you found people to do it down there? Or for anyone that has already gotten married- who did you use? (this is such a hard decision as you cannot really do a trial ahead of time)

Thanks a million :)
i emailed pedro castillo at spa@dreamsrivieracancun.com.mx to talk to them about scheduling hair appointments for me and my 3 bridesmaids- what makes me even more nervous than getting my hair styled for my wedding by a total stranger, is the fact that he said "there is plenty of time to find 4 stylists for your appointment". i have my appointments scheduled and i plan on bringing several pictures, but i have an aunt coming to the ceremony that could fix it if for some reason i hated it:) as for the make up- i decided that makeup application wasnt worth the cost of getting it done!

I originally planned at 6pm wedding (june 19) and Ana suggested that I change it to 5pm. After looking at sunset times, the sun does not set until 7:31 on that day!!! I am starting to think that maybe the wedding ceremony is too earlyhuh.gif Any suggestionshuh.gif Are any of you getting married in the summer when the days are really longhuh.gif Since I am not having a cocktail hour I was thinking I should probably push back the ceremony time... maybe to about 5:30 or 6:00huh.gif?
at first, i had our ceremony scheduled for 4pm, but then i moved it to 5pm- i figured that the pictures of the ceremony will be sunny and show the blue water but then it would be close enough to when the sun would begin setting to take advantage of that time for more pictures. although, pictures are the most important aspect of this destination wedding (and marrying the love of my life, of course!).

We booked the Preferred Club Ocean View room... b/c we are staying there from Wed-Tues... then going on our honeymoon to Secrets Maroma from Tues-Sat... we are getting a GREAT room there... but we felt we really didnt need the honeymoon room at Dreams when we had all our guests there- as we would not be in the room that much.

On another note- I am having a hard time picking out flowers... I am looking for flowers with oranges, whites, yellow and greens only! Does anyone have any suggestions to send? Or if you already got married- were your flowers these colors?

My colors are Dark Teal and Orange- so from the flowers Ana sent me, none are really what I am looking for- I know that she said I could send her what I wanted and they could do (or try to do) but I can't even figure out what I want to do :) Any help?!?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
